With much of the house back in order, and a
coffin buider contacted to provide for the dead so they may be transported home, the omo is i the sanctum having his armor removed and rehung.
His eyes narrow at your report, and he smiles.
"This is good news. Akiea No Aku'sresources are depleted and his forces have been sufficiently diminished that he is forced to hire gaijin and common mercenaries.
I expect either that he will sue for peace, or challenge me to single combat, at which he will attempt to cheat."

"Very good,my lord. Have you any further instructions for me?"

In reply to Iskander (msg # 648):

"Help my Neko hito in preparing the dead for collection with dignity, and stand by while their families seek audience. Then, once they are collected, purify yourself along with the others, and come to me tomorrow evening."

Chou-Zhen, fatigued but not truly exhausted, continues to assist with the bodies, then joins the purification when the job is done.

"Yes Omo-sama!"
Iskander goes and does as instructed.

In reply to Iskander (msg # 651):

The priest blesses the dead, after seeing them dressed in white linen, and the neko hino distribute plain black or plain white robes, and procure bundles of white irises.

Gradually, family members of the deceased are located and attired (many could not provide mourning attire, but the omo provides, and distributes white envelopes containing coins). The waking contiues through the night, with much burning pf incense, and a procession leaves in the morning to a place where the remains may be taken to a crematorium, after which the bones are collected into urn, for immediate burial in family shrines, or to be shipped to the homeland.
after, everyone goes to the baths, and areblesed again by Mushi.

Ales finishes assisting with the clean up caused by Akira's hired goons. Noticing that the first families were just arriving to claim the bodies and begin grieving, Ales decides to duck out of the families sight, lest they get the wrong idea about Sakemoko-san (i.e. he hangs around with unclean gaijin on the regular.) Once out of sight, he moves to the bathhouse and purfies himself.

Once again clean and in fresh clothing, Ales goes to find Sakemoko-san to see if there is anything else he needs.

After the purification, Chye goe about cleaning, oiling, and sharpening, his gear.

Once the purification is completed, Chou-Zhen makes his way to the Guild to seek the services of a mage there.

Tanaka goes and sells off his booty from the battle, after participating in the ceremony and bath.

Chou-Zhen's business at the Guild was not time consuming; he returns barely an hour after leaving the palace, and gathers with the others for the audience with Sakemoko.

Everyone stands as the omo enters, and then exchange bows. Almost the entire household is present, along with the recently hired ashigaru, including Xu with his bandaged head. Carefully arranged displays of white chrysanthemums, Irises, and lilies mark that the household is still in mourning, yet demonstrative of wealth. Properly attending to the funerary arrangements of so many outside the household has doubtless been costly.
Still wearing white, the Omo takes his seat.
"Greetings. I wish to congratulate you all on a job well done. The Kusarimashita clan of niha has been all but exterminated, and our enemy vanquished. Sadly, many sons of Sahud perished, and despite that these were in service to an unjust lord, they were still  our neighbors and countrymen. I have been granted the honor of holding the office of   master of funerals for all of little Sahud. Your labors over the past two days have been instrumental in elevating the honor and reputation of the household"

"I have gifts for each of you." a number of packets wrapped in decorative rice paper are presented. Xu and Chung recieve silk sashes with the Omo's chop, and a few strings of cash. The two new Ashigaru, Shìbīng and Rén recieve badges with the chop, and a few trings of cash.  Numbah three on recieves the sash, and a new Naginata that has a red sik tassel.
Each of you recieve two string of cash, and the following:
Chou-Zen Mou recieves a number of jade ornament worth $600, enough to upgrade his power item to 13 points, and a stone of dispell magic.
Chye Isuel recieves a jar containing oil of penetration (gives Armor divisor 2 for an hour).
Ales Konstantin recieves a jade amulet worth $700, for use as a 6point power item.
Iskander recieves a jar containing oil of pussiance (+1 damage for 1 hour, counts as magic weapon), and a carnelian stone that when smashed, gives one barehanded attack with 3d burning.
Tanaka recieves a bundle of 4 arrows of +2 pussiance.

Chou-Zhen bows deeply to the Omo.  "Your legendary generosity continues, Daimyo.  It is an honor to serve in your household."

Iskander bows deeply.
"Thank you, Omo. I am honored to serve your house."

Tanaka holds the arrows dramatically.
"Thank you Omo-sama. With these fine arrows, I shall bring down our enemies!"

Chye holds the jar over his head, beaming.
"Chye will anoint Lóng zhuǎ *Dragon Claw*, and lend his steel to your house with pride, Omo-sama!"

"Well, this is generous indeed", Ales says in perfect, but accented Sahudese, bowing deeply before Sakemoko-san. "I will have to consider well how to best use this for the household."
