"You are correct, Sir. We indeed have them outmatched, and outnumbered. Sederic's wonderful sword fights by itself, and has a will, all it's own. Be prepared for that...Oh, and
do mind you don't break their skulls, if you please, Sirs. I want their heads."

Grimaldi guffaws, as he draws steel.

Upon commanding Miekka to fight of it's own accord, he takes a step back and mumbles the incantation to call forth a missile shield around himself. As the spell resolves, a faint glimmer surrounds him. He then commands Mika to fight the man leading the charge. Miekka swings!

In reply to Sederic (msg # 84):

Grimaldi's blade barely pierces the scale armor, but does draw blood.

Meika chops into another goon's arm, cutting through the scales armor and cleaving into the bone. His arm hangs limply.

James batters aside a spiked mace with his chield, and cuts deeply into the man's armor with his axe. The wound gushes blood as he withdraws the fine weapon, aznd the man collapses in a spreading pool of blood.

Grimaldi goes over to the fallen thugs and administers coup de grâces ruthlessly. With a cold expression, he raises one fallen man's head by his hair, in his mailed-fist, whilst speaking a word of power: "Imputresco!..."

In reply to Du Menteur's goon (msg # 88):

A massive woman in scale armor, over seven feet tall, carrying a spiked maul and wearing a necklace of human fingers pushes through the door and ducks under it to step out.

It is not that she is ugly, for her features are mildly unpleasant in that something seems off about them, but there is something thoughroughly unwholesome and unnatural about her very presence.

The brute, who seemed unaffected by the brutal deaths of his fellows, wets himself as she approaches.

The Common Room

In reply to Grimaldi (msg # 9)
Missile spells are not instantaneous; you need to cast the spell, and can add up to one energy point per level of magery per second up to 3 seconds; when you are finished with the amount of charge you want to put in in, then you make a roll with innate attack to launch it, and if it hits and is not dodged, then roll damage.

The putrefication is going to take a few seconds as well: one second per coup de grace, then the casting, then the rotting happens after that,

James, although stricken and his face twitching, notices you casting the spell and calls out

"The champion has arrived, let us.. decide who shall take it on.. in single combat? Percival, are you up for this... I am not one to stike a woman..."

Grimaldi smiled ruthlessly, as he thrust his estoc into the next of the fallen, and twisted it gruesomely.
"No time for hindsight Sirs, but perhaps we should have done this.. my way? With all respect, if we survive this, perhaps you'll learn discretion is the better part of valor."

Grimaldi ripped the now empty and whitened skull free from the man's shoulders, with a sickening pop. The body slumps onto it's belly with a wet thud, and fresh blood pours from neck, mingling with the puddle of putrescent and liquified, brain matter upon the ground, as Grimaldi placed the skull in his bag.

This combat will be individual, between Percival thd the champion.
She has a slightly higher level of basic speed, however she must ready her oversized weapon for a round before she can attack, so her move this round is to ready her weapon.

Axes suffer this penalty as well, becoming unreadied after being used. If Percival uses his sword instead, he can attack each round, as well as defend.

She looks like she can hit very hard, hard enough that significant dammage can peneteate even the mail Percival is wearing. Her armor can absorb damage as well.

She is unnatural, and that might justify a general melee with the four of you.
