The two knights make short if noisy work of the door, and as they cut through the last of it, a crossbow bolt flies through the wreckage, striking Percival in the torso. Despite his armor mastery, he is staggered.

"Sederic, I saw you cast a missle shield upon yourself, earlier...Perhaps you can do it again, and go in, with Meikka, and dispatch this crossbowman? This could be more dangerous than that thing, though mundane as it is... What say ye? How bad are you hurt, Sir?" Grimaldi finished speaking to Sederic, and asked the perforated knight.

15:20, Today: Sederic rolled 12 using 3d6.  spell: missle shield 14.
Sederic smiles, and waves his hand over head and across his body. A shimmering barrier faintly encompasses his form, and then seems to disappear.
"Come Meikka. Let's slay this fool, but remember... We want the one called Balar.. alive!"

The knight grimaces, clutching at his abdomen.

The door is cut through mostly, but you can see the bar still in place. You can hear someone fevershly turning a crank.

Sederic forces the rest of the door, so the group may sally forth!

Grimaldi draws his sword, and guffaws.

with trembling hands, the once brave brute removes the bar. He looks at the field of butchery before him, and at the vaporizing pool of ooze that was the champion.

"That's fine. Good. Now, stand there, and we'll all come in behind you. We're only after the boss, and he's coming with us. Do EXACTLY as I SAY, and you may leave afterwards, as I believe you were just a working fellow. You'll need a new boss now, I'm afraid."
Without taking his eyes off the door, Grimaldi waves the group forward.

Sederic advances and has meikka taking point, literally. The blade prods him in the small of the back, if he hesitates. "Lead on. One false move, and it'll be your last. Cooperate, and I'm in favor if letting you live also. Don't change my mind."

The hired thug sighs and picks up a lantern and then lifts the cover on a trapdoor, revealing a narrow flight of stairs.

"Wait. We're in this for the money, right? Let's drag our spoils inside at least. There's probably at least a couple hundred in those maces and scale armor, sitting outside.
Grimaldi, can you wait here with me and hold this guy, and you sirs, if you would, collect our spoils and bring them inside? Coin don't sprout from gardens, afterall..."
Sederic says, minding Meikka, to keep their prisoner in check.
