Ardenas can see them making a turn into the next alley.

There is a waste barrel in the alley that Aoife can duck behind, that would keep her out of view.

Ardenas continues to follow along the eaves, staying a few yards behind and moving as quietly as he can.  As he moves, he thinks about what sort of magic might involve seeds and an iron crowbar.

Ardenas suddenly comes to a full stop, causing another shingle to rattle.

Seeds are usually scattered to distract ghosts and other undead that are compelled to count, iron of the right sort is supposed to ward off faeries, but the kind that is effective is star metal. These two idiots were trying to stop Aoife from following them and got their lore wrong.

Ardenas shakes his head in disbelief and resumes quietly following the two men.

Aoife can't shift back!


Ardenas makes it safely around the edge of the roof unseen. Below the men tilt the cart to block an intersection of alleyways, and head off together in lockstep.

The alley is narrow enough to leap accross.

Ardenas takes a couple quick steps and leaps toward the opposite eave on the side near the two cultists.

The two men pause in front of a door and unlock it before enterring. They looked up as Ardenas landed, and slam the door shut behind them.

Ardenas drops from the roof into the alley, approaches the door, and scratches a mark in the door with a shuriken -- four quick strokes to outline a goblet -- before running back along the alley to find Aoife.

Mancini continues to follow, making sure to keep a low a profile as possible.
