Re: Cultists by the docks

Mancini thinks better of his plan and decided to instead attack the frozen demon. He also instructs Norman to help, given that Aoife and her pets and Oly were having a field day with the Ice Cat.

(Ooc:20:04, Today: Mancini rolled 4 using 1d6.  Damage.

20:04, Today: Mancini rolled 7 using 3d6.  Rapier 13.)

Ardenas takes the momentary lull to begin searching the sorcerer's body.

[Private to GM: Mainly looking for healing potions, but also looking for other helpful magic -- and any more of those bottled demons.]

Re: Cultists by the docks

In reply to Mancini (msg # 563):

Let me clarify. You are in 5he doorway standing over a trio of dead cultists and one dead demon. Immediately  in front of you is a  rapidly approaching, frost breathing catman demon with a scimitar!
(Behind him, Oly has just cut its throat, but it is still standing... barely

About six yards behind him is a frost covered petty demon that isn't  moving. Beyond that it Ardenas is checking the sorcerer's body for magical items.

Are you trying to squeeze past the frost breathing demon to get at the frozen solid one, giving it your back in order to attack the immobile demon behind him, or are you attacking the one about to cut you down ?

Aoife, the demon isn't  past Norman and Mancini yet.

In reply to Oly (msg # 567):

As Oly cuts the throat of the frozen demon, and it bleeds,(and the light goes out from its eyes)  he realizes that the demon he just attacked, that should be dead did not bleed...
He can feel frost forming on his cloak...

The cat demon with the ripped throat turns from Mancini and Norman, and lests loose a blast of frozen sea spray at Oly!

Oly! Take 12 points of cold damage before DR, and make a HT roll vs parylization, with a -1 pet two points of damage that got through DR!

Ardenas, well aware of that sea spray blast, temporarily abandons his search and springs to Oly's side, pulling him out of the main traffic area and laying him down.

Re: Cultists by the docks

(ooc: sorry. I just couldn't place myself exactly in the room. Based on the faulty suppositions, I was directing actions on that.

I will go ahead and attack the ice cat demon. Do I need to reroll or can we just apply my last roll towards Icy? Also, I would have Norman attack as well, since obviously a rapier is not going to be able to do major damage on that thing.)

Ardenas quickly transfers any vials he doesn't recognize as healing to his own harness for later examination.  Were there any healing potions?

Whipping its scimitar about, the creature cleaves Norman's spear in half. Ignoring Mancini, it  Readies its sword and prepares to deal a blow to the bear.

The lightnign crackles harmlessly off of it, and it glances in Aoife's direction.

Mancini can see faint trails of smoke coming out of the deep claw marks the bear left in the demon's hide.

Ardenas, slightly disappointed, stows the presumed paut and the green stone, draws himself up and takes a deep breath while readying a shuriken, and begins to gesture while speaking strange words.  A heartbeat later he shakes his head in annoyance.
