Re: Cultists by the docks

In reply to As Sharak (msg # 584):

As Oly finally gets up, The bear swipes at the demon, damaging it again, but less effectively this time.
The As Sharak swings at it with his scimitar, cutting a long slash in the bear's midsection.
Bruce roars, and clars it again. Both are badly injured

[Private to narrator: bear has taken 12 damage cutting (post DR etc, the As Sharak has taken 18 points of effective dameage (and like 14 of ineffective damage)]

In reply to bear (msg # 588):

Angered at seeing her friend hurt, Aoife throws all her tiny fury into this lightning bolt. It is accurate, and hits hard...

[Private to GM: Rolled 14 under skill to hit, maximum damage this time! 10 Can lightning aim for Vitals or head? Given the situation, she would if she could...]

Ardenas repeats the words and gestures he previously completed, then opens up with a big grin as he points the shuriken at the frosty cat demon and releases it.

[Private to GM: 18:19, Today: Ardenas Barehand rolled 3 using 3d6.  Winged Knife, roll to cast (12).  Crit!  No fatigue cost, any other happy things?
18:21, Today: Ardenas Barehand rolled 7 using 3d6.  Winged Knife, roll to hit (15 - range).
18:22, Today: Ardenas Barehand rolled 2 using 1d6.  Damage, cutting.

In reply to Aoife (msg # 589):

you can aim the lightning at its head!  also, any crits on casting get rerolled to see if there is a secondary crit.  (different table if you have weirdness magnet)

The demon is not stunned, but is pretty angry

I didn't think 7 was a crit, even with a skill of 21? She will hit him in the head if she can! This should reduce his ability to attack next round!

Oly flexes his muscles and moves his long knife around a little to ensure he is limber... then turns toward the demon.

the moster is cut deeply in the neck, but does not bleed. It ignores the attack and swings at the bear with its saber - the bear takes a huge cut, and staggers back. It looks poorly.

Then she checked up on her friend Bruce...

Re: Cultists by the docks

"I've never seen anything like that.  It's as if it were just solid flesh, instead of made up of muscle and bone and blood and organs like a man.  Or a bear."  He glances aside at Bruce and winces.

Ardenas approaches the twitching thing and pulls out his quarrel, then pushes the point into the creature's eye and strikes the butt with a fist to drive it through the (presumed) bone, into the (expected) brain.

[Private to GM: Presuming roll to hit not required, under the "automatically dispatch unconscious foes" rule.  Damage below:
22:47, Today: Ardenas Barehand rolled 6 using 1d6.  Damage, Impaling .

The demon twitches as the electrified staff strikes it, and when Ardenas tries to manually stab it with the quarrel, it appears to do nothing to it!

It appears to be badly damaged, and its pupil is blown.

Aoife does not have much in the way of demonology...she is a druid and they are far from natural!

But she will shock it again if it keeps moving! Where has our demon hunter gone?

[Private to GM: She rolled 7 under to cast, 11 points of shocking (burn) damage, does she need to roll to hit?]
