There was no oil on the ground, and the footprints didn't quite come close to the lamp. The inside of the oil reservoir is dry, nut just low.

Moving your hand close to the lamp, you can tell that it is still warm, although the glass does not have the typical darkening that occurs when a lamp b7rns completely out.

The lantern is an oil lamp, and was completely emptied of oil, which is nowhere to be seen.

Balir settles back into his role as a lookout.  He's bored by the talking around a lamp and it's missing oil.  Who really cares?  Still, just in case of trouble, he stays alert and observant.

Balir maintains his watch as the rest of the group prepares their things.  He had already started preparing for the day's travel, so he was a step ahead of some.

Balir is still lurking a few steps away, watching for danger.  However, his ears perk up at this.  Was there some sort of sorcery in play here?  He was curious to know.
