Ashbury's Abattoir: a tavern near a slaughter house

"Not all undead, deserve the same treatment. It is ignoble to sell off and use the body parts of just anyone. This poor soul for instance, is a plague zombie. He's probably roamed the undercity and sewers for decades, and now the remains should be given a decent burial, or burning on a pyre, with ceremony... Now, if we knew this were a miscreant, then we are not obliged to do anything for him, and may profit from his disposal, or as I do...collect the skulls of evil men, to put to "good" use... hmm hmm..."
Grimaldi produced the skull he'd collected earlier, and held it Yorick style, for emphasis.

Ashbury's Abattoir: a tavern near a slaughter house

"I can think of a few narrow and damp passages I'd rather be, but we have a job to do. Let's check it out, at least. Then, we'll head back the other way. We're not exploring as much, as we are getting this place covered, so we can get paid!"

The half elf laughed.
"I didn't think you were such a cad, Grimaldi!
We do have a lady, with us..."

Grimaldi cleared his throat.
"Quite. Beg pardon, mademoiselle."
Grimaldi, bowed slightly, still holding a skull, and his sword.
But then, that was Grimaldi, and they were down in a creepy catacomb.

In reply to Sederic (msg # 87):

The passage is awkward to move through, being barely wider than a yard, and  with occasional cross bracing that you have to crawl over. After a few hundered yards, there is a gate to the right hand side, and a wider corridor to the left<about three yards) and the narrow corridor continues ahead. The gate, like the last one leads into a tunnel filled to nearly floor level with foul slow moving water, spillover from the canal above.

This time, nothing approaches because of all the noise. There is some splashing in the tunnel beyond the gate, but that may have been rats.

You are back by the entrance to the Abattoir, there is a corridor west, which ypu can see intersecting with a north/south one.
