FWIW, those match pretty well with my recollection, at least of the underground sections.  I don't recall seeing a map of the street level before.

I was under the impression that the kitchen was at a dead end, Nodwin declared it in msg #280* (and wasn't corrected), however I've reread the thread and that wasn't mentioned by Gwythaint, so we'll need to explore that way before we do anything permanent down there.

And there was no 4 way beyond the summoning portal as per msg #308:

Narrator msg #308:
The corridor proceeds a short distance before turning right to follow the shape of the summoning chamber. Ahead, you can see one of those bronze gates blocking the way.
It looks to be the sort Jareth has the key to.

Benito will look for a space to start setting up. With no spare points just now, he will have to wait before putting points into the base perk.

When did Anita and Benito get added to the Juniors such that they should be buying into the Junior House?

At first they were going to be someone (Clarence's?) Allies.  Then they became secondary characters...  and now they are 'full fledged' members of the group?  Without any discussion?

As a Player, I think the new Characters should earn a voice at the table (ie vie roleplaying) before purchasing a seat at the table (buying into the Base, Ind Inc, etc).

But that's just my 2 cents.

I don't disagree.  Benito's already been some help, he got us the use of the donkey and cart without spending any house funds.  All I offered Leroy was a meal for some "extra hands" help moving Benito's (very heavy) stuff out of the Guild.  Seems like a pleasant enough sort, though.

Re: Junior House Accounting Thread
May  make a diplomatic suggestion?  I don't remember the exact placement of all the parts, but I recall the important parts.  It has been a bit of time since I looked at it.

I'll preface the discussion by agreeing with Jareth.  They should earn their place at the table.  At the same time, I can see where the newcomers might have a lot to add with skills, as they were originally intended to help us shore up the house

Nodwin has yet to haggle over the buildings across the street from our main city block.  Depending on how that goes the main Juniors group may or may not gain control over them.  It has yet to be decided.  However, we have privately agreed the newbies will not be informed of the basement access to the sewers, the bone gate, and all of the other goodies we have already uncovered.

Perhaps we should break into 2 parties, as the GM suggested.  We can operate autonomously, but when necessary we can come together as a larger whole.  The old group can maintain the city block as we have been.  The new group can take up residence across the street in the homes with no access to the undercity.  Everyone gets some space, but they can pay for theirs out of their own pockets, while still getting a good initial set up.

As payment to Nodwin for procurement (and assuming that goes well), they can handle fixing up the structural defects of the buildings.  That was the original plan, and would work well with story line.  The refugee followers of Vejovis could handle the cleaning and organization in the meantime.

That would allow the older group to get back to adventuring.  The newer group could handle some logistics and organization as something of an orientation, and then head off on their own set of quests.  Maybe they are related to what we're doing, maybe they aren't.

I think it works out to be a nice compromise, with everyone getting most of what they wanted, while it also maintains continuity within the established groups.

Sound like a sound set of ideas?  All in favor?

In reply to Benito Drake (msg # 46):

Anita, Leroy, Wiley and whoever else joins on can be a new group.  Benito is essentially opening a business, and working directly to improve things.
If the group accepts him directly, there will be definite work to do in the vicinity of the bone gate and its approach, shoring up the whole in the wall everyone has been climbing through, and preventing the rubble being loaded into the pit from pushing over the wall, in one area at least, there was a small hole that led to the surface, large enough to let sunlight into the room.  'Elga the henormous would be available for hire to assist with that from her end, for roughly the base rate of hire for a laborer.

I believe that Nodwin and Jareth came to the same conclusion and agreed that we'd do the work ourselves, between his Shape Earth (or Jocelyn's?) and Jareth knowledge of Architecture (skill 11).

And if it comes to it, Jareth has a Masonry default of 12.  He'll just knuckle down and do the work himself (with Brodak's help with the heavy lifting).

For that matter, Jocelyn probably also has a decent Masonry default, it's IQ-4 after all.

i think that allows you to act as a foreman, so anyone working under you gets +5 to their carpentry or masonry. if that's the case, then a basic crew could probably be assembled from the whole of our group, including some of the refugees.

Ok, so i as a player probably have less of an idea of what needs to be done than Benito, who has been walking around and seeing some of the damage from above, at least.

So how to handle construction? You tell me what to roll and I roll it, and he gets to work? Construction is probably one of the more mundane things to role-play in detail, though the general aspects can be more interesting.

Re: Junior House Accounting Thread
I addressed the discussion with Nodwin in thread, although the timing is likely off.  That's for the GM to decide.

As for the work, I imagine Nodwin will make Shape Earth rolls and then Benito will perform the guidance on how to apply it.  Others can help with tasks, but I imagine they will be the primary participants.  Jareth also has some skills that should come in handy here.  Like Benito said, the GM will have to decide how much of this he wants to role-play.  I'm happy to do it on or off screen, whichever he decides is appropriate.

Hmmmm... Engineer (Civil) defaults to Architecture at -6, no regular IQ defaults.  So if your Architecture is already a default, you have no Engineer (Civil).
