Make a thaumatology and a teaching roll for each spell, and  also a teaching of Thaumatology roll. she has a few points to spend.

Chou-Zhen begins the teaching process immediately after the meal.  He begins by teaching her about magic, at least as it relates to spells of Light and Darkness, then proceeds to the spells themselves.

Ming-Sa proves a very quick learner, quietly asking questions about magical theory and able to, after an hour of practice, call a sphere of l8ght into being, and move it about. Soon after she causes a stone to glow.

In the daylight, there is little sign of ghosts or fae things, and at the moment, the horizon is free from any bearing the banner of the checked wheat sheaves.

Tanaka is mindfully patroling the outer edge of the paddy, and you can see him attacked by what looks like an enourmous mosquito, about two feet long, which he quickly  cleaves in half.

Iskander attended the magical lesson, and was able to gain some magical knowledge!

Chou-Zhen bows once again to Ming-Sa.  "You have brought honor on your ancestors.  Now, let us go about and create enough lights to make the yokai uncomfortable here."

Chou-Zhen will offer to Lend Energy when she tires; he can recover his fatigue more rapidly.  We'll concentrate on making 4-point lights (bright as a torch), and should be able to make at least four or five each, with appropriate rests, before dark.
