Re: Rice Run

Chou-Zhen continues to watch for enemies.

[Private to GM: I didn't envision a "pillbox" -- what Ming-Sa and I have been working on is an interrupted wall, six foot sections with a gap about two feet wide every second section.  Roughly like -- __ -- __ to allow passage in and out for unmounted villagers, but require the Baron's cavalry to dismount to pass (else jump the wall -- can't build tall enough to prevent a good horse from clearing without compromising something else), preventing charges and limiting their ability to close quickly, attack, and retreat rapidly.  Msg. #644 has the specs for each section.  After a day's work, we should have a dozen sections, in addition to the original one blocking the road.]

Re: Rice Run

In reply to Iskander (msg # 907):

Iskander spots a fallen log that will grant partial cover on the approach,  granting you a defensive bonus as you seek the attackers.

Saishi's bear tulpa makes short work of the men.

Ales and Chou-Zen are defended by the segmented wall, they await, along with the six villagers, the return of the attackers.

Saishi and his friends will finish with the men, taking what arms and armour they were carrying, and then return to the rest of the group.

Nice Tulpa. Well done. Good bear...
Saishi will pat the bear as he says that.

Re: Rice Run

Iskander instructs the 3 prisoners:
"Get to the log, and keep down. We'll try to take them alive, and if they agree to come with us to Northport, we'll turn you loose there, together. Don't try to run. You already know Chye is a good shot, Senyors."
Iskander gestures to Chye with his bow, for emphasis.
He circles behind the wounded men with both weapons drawn, herding them towards the log at swordpoint.

The religious ritual of properly laying them to rest (bare minimum to avoid a vengeful spirit, not full on final rest) takes a full minute each. You might wish to release your tulpas.

The arrow is loosed wildly by the archer even as he is struck in the chest with Chye's arrow, and he nearly falls from the tree, but drops his bow in an effort to hold on.

The arrow strikes at Chye! 5 points impaling before DR!!

Ales can see the ripples in the swamp water of someone moving behind some weeds... Per roll-2 to see them clearly
