In reply to Ales Konstantin (msg # 685):

Due to padded under armor, the target of Chou-Zen avoids being stunned.

The rain of fire spooks the horses, along with some of the men, and one banner horse falls forward into a covered pit, throwing the rider. The other rears up, and the bannerman is now hanging from the stirr.

The leader reins in his horse.

Re: Rice Run

In reply to Chye Isuel (msg # 691):

You have the wall and three pits to negotiate to get there. Going off road is automatically bad futting, and puts you1 yard lower than him.
Getting off the wall is two yards down then one out of the pit, two yards and a leap over the covered pit, another yard then the pit with the horse, then his horse is starting on the next yard,he himself is sitting in the middle of the horse one yard further.

A jumping roll gets you off the wall and over the first pit, but you can only jump 1 pit per second.

Iskander is past the first pit off the road, and must make a DX-2 roll toavoid slippi g on the incline, failure causes him to fall in the muck.  He is at leg/ groin height to the men 7 yards ahead, and ktorso height on the foundering horse a yard away.m, and head height on the prone bannerman, who is looking down i to the pit at the base of the wall.

Chye is at range to strike him.

The archers are preparing to fire again, but cannot see into the mist- wild swings at a distance penalty.

Chye beheads the man in the ditch. The impaled horse screams.
That, and the fireball cause the leader's horse to almost lose control, but he concentrates on that, and starts to retreat.
Men flee from the firey rain

Iskander has crept along the side of the road and is beside the horses, (the bucking bannerhorse )

Ales is 6 yards from anyone but the downed horse.

Re: Rice Run

Ales begins chanting and begins shaping the air into a thick, hot dense mass among the soldiers. As he chants, he adds in some additional gestures causing the air to heat up, hot enough to scald the soldiers if in metal armor, and severe discomfort in leather.

Re: Rice Run

In reply to Chou-Zhen Mou (msg # 701):

a scattering of arrows rains down harmlessly, except for one striking Tanaka as he leaps over the wall and the pit below.

The lightning cast by Chou-Zen spells out 闪电 before stiking, and the leader crackles with electricity,  but seems unstunned. His horse has had enough, and bucks, but he holds on.

The horse slashed by Iskander collapses onto its rider, Iskander must dodge a wild kick or take 3 points crushing.

You can hear several clattering sounds, as hot swords hit the roadway.

Ales, roll again for your crit; the casting of heat is free, let's see how weird the effects are.

Re: Rice Run

In reply to Ales Konstantin (msg # 704):

There is a scent of ozone along with the dry heat, and a faint rushing sound.

Fire continues to rain down, and the leader's horse breaks and runs, smoking in several places, as is his armor, clearing the firey rain.

The men break out of formation and scatter. one seems to have caught cinders in the face and is staying in the field, clutching his face.
