Sou Ales, Chou, and Ming-Sa stay behind, Iskander, Chye and the hunters form a posse to hunt down the roughly two dozen men lost in the swamp.

Ooc:Where is Tanaka?

OOC:4 men isn't much of a posse, and certainly wouldn't do much good, trying to catch so many men. Aren't there any vengeful farmers eager for retribution?

By the time the posse has gathered to leave the village, Chou-Zhen and Ming-Sa are in process of creating the first new section of wall, working in the rice paddy at the edge of the road.

Unlike the Sahudese in the city, most of the farmers are noncombatants,; a few brawl, but you find two who can use a staff. It might be possible the the rokurobi might be recruited to scout.

The wall building is perpendicular to the road?

Chye goes to find Tanaka

The first sections of wall will extend perpendicular to the road, with gaps just under a yard wide every fifth section -- narrow enough that a mounted man would have to slow to a walk, or even dismount, or else jump the wall to pass.  Over the course of an eight hour day, Chou-Zhen and Ming-Sa should be able to erect a dozen of these sections, working outward from the road through the paddies on a path to eventually encircle the entire village (which, however, will probably take several days even at a dozen sections a day).

At least initially, we'll plan to leave the road leading to Northport open unless there's reason to believe the Baron's men plan an attack from that direction.
