Re: Near Al Menir
Gareth soon finds himself absently walking in a circle, as the ru estones repell him.

In the meantime, who is taking a clorser look at the dead man's gear?

OOC I imagine Haveron and Gareth are in orbit around the main group in the middle considering the ring of trees and tablets.

Berry will gather up some dirt and pebbles and then cast essential food on it.

Haveron is correct, without a deliberate act of will, it is hard to walk a straight line here

OOC:
My state announced today a mandatory work shut down for non essential workers along with a stay at home order.  I am considered in the essential group and am being offered copious amounts of OT.  I apologize but it will severely limit my ability to post.  Thanks for your patience.

Burke and Shroud feel the same.  They only wouldn't want Gareth around if he does something super creepy like animates people we know and tries to have them act as regular servants (or animals in Burke's case).  But Gareth has agreed not to do this so they're cool with him.  As for speaking with dead, both are ok with it.  To these two speaking with the dead isn't a far stretch from sťances which isnt super creepy.

Amelia will examine the bottles and scrolls.  She doesn't have any magical ability, so if she doesn't know what they are she will refer them to Berry, Burke, or maybe the Adept.

OOC Haveron will circle until Gareth returns.

"Not sure about these bials, although one lookd like it might be Bladeblack.  These scrolls... are diagrams or plans for building something. There is some kind of armor clockwork that looks lije someone is inside, and something that looks like a mechanical spider. There are some other devices that look like some kind of trap."

Anyone with traps skill, or IQ-5 can benefit from this, and anyone who can make an engineering roll or IQ-6 can learn weaknesses of some of these things.

An armory (body armor) might also help evaluate several of these items.

Royjin as no problem with the way Gareth behaves because he is from a distant land and learned to accept all different types of behaviors, he is puzzled by Haveron's constant negative reactions to Gareth. He does not put much thought into it since he is also new to the group.

You will be able to recognize a few of these traps when you see them, and have insight into disarming them, or give a complimentary bonus to someone disarming.

Has the group finished discussing what to do with Gareth, or someone got bored enough to call him back in before he gets bored himself...and creates his own entertainment?

OOC  Haveron was expecting the same -someone to step up and ask the question, then signal the 2 orbitals to return.  Not really something Amelia should do as she is an agent of Haveron.

Didn't realize Gareth and Haveron were still waiting.  Burke will call them back since nothing seems to be going on and the debate appears over.

When Haveron returns to the group, he seems much more relaxed.  He asks the group, simply, "What did you decide?"

Re: Near Al Menir
Unceremoniously and rather stoically Shroud moves to the decaying corpse.  He lays his prized weapon, his longbow next to him on the soft ground while he unslings his pack with one swift move.  He unbuckles the flap and flings it open revealing the contents.  He reaches a hand in and digs around for a minute until he draws forth a wrapped leather bundle about the size of a steak.  He unfurls it.  Laid out neatly is a series of small metallic instruments.  Tiny daggers, hooks and spears, as if they were combat weapons to fight faeries.  Shroud snatches one up and begins poking at the dead mans possessions.

OOC:
No time to RP my response to Haveron.  Response for Burke and Shroud is as discussed above in OOC.

Gareth will return when called and start looking over the scrolls and other items. Noting Shroud look over what appear to be thieves tools, he is happy to let him have them...

[Thieves tools, leatherworking tools, Gareth would not know the difference...or care!]
