Gareth will get distracted by the open doorways and walk over to one with his fireball, peering in.

Not being told not to call out, Berry will act on instinct. "Hello! Is anyone home? We're... travelers? This is a really cool place you have here!

The ogre stops and looks to Berry, a confused look upon his face.

Shaking his head, he sets about lighting his helmet lamp and moves closer to an archway.

"Which part about killing the builder who built the traps for visitors escapes you?" Gareth asked, a touch of frustration in his voice.

In reply to Berry (msg # 975):

A set of heavy footsteps echo from the doorway nearest berry. A large silhouette catches the glow from the room, revealing a leathery looking man shape wearing trousers, slippers, and an apron. There are stitchmarks at its wrist, neck, and throat, and accross its ches and abdomen.

It looms without aggression.

Gareth holds his fireball ready. From what he knows, this construct is likely another golem of some description...

Hey, I'm not naturally talented at this breaking and entering thing. This is why I asked.

The construct, which appears to be the size of a tall, broad shouldered man, whilemanaging to be androgynous,  extends its arm with palm open, and makes aa gesture toward your cloaks.

In reply to Old servant (msg # 982):

"Thank you, I will keep mi...wait, I don't have a cloak."

He smiles at the creature, while saying under his breath to Berry.

"I am not naturally talented at breaking and entering either, but I am also not a fool. The dead guy back there just told us of all the stuff he built into this place to harm intruders...were you of with your evil fairy friends when that discussion took place?"

Haveron eyes the construct closely, and observes it for a moment, as it stands there with it's palm open.  He looks around the room, noting Gareth's impulsive response, then replies in a measured way.  "We politely decline the invitation to take our cloaks, but thank you.  What other functions do you perform?  Do you speak?  Can you inform your master that we are here to see him?"

Haveron steps after the old servant, but not in an aggressive manner.  Instead, he consciously softens his voice, and directs the golem.  "Please, lead us to your master."

The construct approaches a small cabinet, opens it and withdraws a tray, bottle, and exactly the number of glasses as are in your group.

Berry will mutter and wave her hand over one of the glasses as she casts test food. If it reports no danger she will take and drink it, while thanking the man/golem.

16:52, Today: Berry rolled 14 using 3d6.  Test food.-15.

Haveron will note the exchange, but does not need to drink at the moment.  Instead, he politely says "Thank you for the hospitality.  We would like to see your master.  Can you lead us to him?"

OOC  Yes I realize he's like a hospitality bot, but Haveron would not.
