OOC Because I'm newer to Nodwin, asking the GM for a bit of clarification.

-those of you who spent CP on base, keep that level of base, and add CP equal to the expenditure
Add, we have been at this for years now, so everywho didn't just join add 6 CP to yourvtotal as well. Trying to give a sense of accomplishment.

Thanks much, boss!  Looking forward to the next four years...

Nodwin gestures to the Ymid "Please lead on, or tell us where we are going so we can lead you through the city.  And remember, if you are among the townsfolk, we do not want them to see you, lest they become spooked and call the city guard.  We cannot protect you if that happens."

In reply to Nodwin Zideqick (msg # 260):

The ymid fiddles with the gemstones on its tablet, until you can see a large glowing red dot that pulses and makes a whisling sound that keeps time with the pulses.
The ymid makes a circular motion on the creen with its claw, and points with its gnarled staff.
"This way."

In reply to Jareth Mooncalled (msg # 265):

"Indeed. Come, let us view the gate together. Operation is simple, and there is a conditional bypass in effect which prevents more than thaumatological scrying. I will show you three things."

The ymid activates the circle of tangled bone, causing runes and sigils to glow in the air in front of it, and the stace between shimmers.

Re: Living near the street collapse

Nodwin makes a positive gesture to Jareth.  This was good information to have.  Then he comments "Is there a way to get where we need underground, instead of through the city?  I know there are dangers there, but it might be safer than taking our Ymid friend out into the city population."

Mario, following along with Jareth, Nodwin, and the ymid, tries to watch what was done to open and especially to close the gate.

Re: Living near the street collapse

Jareth's left eye rotates oddly in it's socket and he presses his hand to head as though in pain (despite not wincing) or as though he's holding something in that might be trying to escape...

"Ya, got... got it... unnnn think.  With some practice... fy mind can... ewch yn wallgof...  ya."  He shakes it off.  But his left eye doesn't seem to focus properly for a bit.

"Huh, it open elsewhere?  Not just Pnath.  This has, potential."

"What?  Yeah, Nodwin, always way to get t'ere from here, even if t'e long way.  But if we don't know exactly where goin, an we don't, might end up wanderin into spoders again.  Or worse.  Like t'e hungry end of t'e bhole.  Probably best brave t'e streets.  Besides, Ymid can get eyeful of topside, which be surprisingly similiar every ot'er city everywhere."

Re: Living near the street collapse

Nodwin looks on as the ymid activates the bone gate.  It doesn't faze him at all, but he also has no idea what just happened.  Then he looks at Jareth, as he speaks.  After a short pause, he responds "I would prefer to go underground, but if you feel the streets would be safer then I will come along.  But we need a good strategy for what to do if he is discovered.  And an extra layer of protection like a mask would make me feel much more comfortable."

The hood it has is semi rigid, and someone would have to be trying to look up in to it.

Will make a couple  disguise rolls to avoid penalties for monstrous  appearance and social stigma.

Jareth appears to have been privy to a private transmission from the Ymid, and has some working knowledge of the gate that may require some research in order to use it effectively.
