about the Hadereum... They have already expressed disinterest in policing this area, and seem devoted to repopulating empty buildings without much concern as to who, as long as enough taxes are gathered to pay for the road upkeep that the Merchant's Guild is after.

You are going to be on your own unless you can provide the priests of Hades with an actual demon, or the paraphernalia of their worship.

"So, it's not a Demon, Rosewood? Hmmm... an evil Fay, that delights in havoc and bloodshed. Instead of the Haderuem, why don't we take this information, and go talk to a sage? Perhaps they will know what we're up against, and how to fight it. The cost of two questions, might be worth it."

What do you think twenty or more angry stupid men are going to do to to every fay and every pretty young female that they think trying to charm them after they see they been fooled.
They are going to be so angry when they know they been taken for fools.
When they realize they lusted after something that looks as ugly as her in her true form.  Imagine how you feel if you woke up after good night out to find the fattest, ugliest, foul breathed, blackened teeth seventy year old woman had drugged you and had her way with you that night.  As you wake up she still there wanting more.
They will go on a witch or fay hunt.  Trying to hurt every fay or every pretty young female human they come across calling them witches.
They may even turn on older females as well.  They will have to punish someone.
They are not strong enough of mind to walk away.
They will have to make someone pay for making them into fools.
They will be ten time worse.

<Cursive>"This looks like a mob we're dealing with, and none of the city officials are interested in dealing with this. This situation is extremely serious, but I don't think it's bigger than us. It looks like it's up to us to pull this thorn out before it festers. I'm up for a good fight, but to murder all these men, doesn't seem right to me, especially if they're in the sway of a greater evil. We should indeed see if she has a lair somewhere, track her there, and hopefully kill her there, when she is alone."

Even being relatively new in town, there are a few sources of faerie lore available to you:

The Dismal tower, home of sages, will require cash,
Twilight House, home to Shadow elves, may require performing a favor, definitely some finessi gand probably an invitation.. or a way to bypass one.
Hyacinths Hoofprints, a fey friendly tavern, which will require navigating etiquette like the othrrs, and buying a few rounds...

"Why don't we find some aid, if we can among our folk. I know a place where we might find some information, and maybe even, some help. Why don't we go to Hyacinth's Hoofprints?"
