Marcus holds back waiting to see what happens.  The big guy can probably handle himself.  He watches the purists companions to see what they do.

Wiley, seeing the trouble, puts the coin he was manipulating back in its pocket, loosens his saber in its sheath and draws his throwing knife trying to be stealthy and keep it tucked behind his arm, but instead drops it on the ground with a clatter.

The brute scowls as the arrow sinks into his club, and slides his hand down it, snapping off both halves of the arrow. He isn't  a small man.

The other man gets to his knees and is cursing that he isnt wearing boots.

Shoes around here are rather sock like and lace closed in the front, without tongues. Boots are a little thicker, heavy boots are boiled leather.
