Crossbow bolt loaded, Anita also aims at the door, bracing the crossbow on the roof as she lay down to do so.

The door opens, and one of the purists, wearing a blood drop armband looks out angrily
"Private club! Now screw off!"

Rosewood can zip in over his shoulder with a stealth roll, but be aware of the archers!

Stepping aside and holding the door open,Leroy stalls for a moment longer to speak, seemingly compliantly to give the invisible Rosewood, better access:
"Oh? My mistake. I'm new in town. Au revoir!"
After that, Leroy smiles sheepishly, closing his eyes a moment.
He then turns and exits.
(Hope that got you inside Rosewood...We're counting on you!)Oo Leroy thought, as he headed back to the street. He leaves the stairway, and moves to the corner of the building instead, leaving it open for the archers, without potentially leaving himself cornered, later.

Anita is not planning on shooting unless it is needed, in which case she would expect Leroy to have the good sense to get out of the way! Is he in the way of the vitals, or would aiming for the vitals cover that same penalty (such as often happens for folk aiming for a head, when the rest of the body has cover)?

Seeing Leroy turn his back and ascend the stairs, two men barrel out, and ome lunges at Leroy's shins, and slams into him.

Any rolls to defend are at -4. ST check to avoid falling forward,

Now using Fantastic Dungeon Grappling rules:
The purist has 5 control points on you, and needs to do an amount equal to your Basic Lift to have you pinned.

17:14, Today: Leroy du Lac rolled 9 using 3d6.  strength ~ 13 (taking the charge, resisting knockback).

Leroy uncannily turns, and blocks the charge with his shield, and stands firm!
"Attacking me from behind, trying to knock me down the stairs!? Expect no mercy, curs!"
Leroy raises his boarding axe, with it's back-spike, poised to strike a deadly blow!
"Nyyyyahhhhh!"

In reply to Marcus Blackthorn (msg # 298):

Leroy make a dex-2 check for bad footing, turning on steps.

The arrow whistles by Leroy's cloak, and strikes the man in the thigh, apparently striking an artery, and the man falls over, grabbing hold of the edge of the wall by the steps, and still knocked to his knees.

Reanna has a partially clear shot at the next, at -4 (distance plus Leroy)
Rosewood can get a quick count: there are about 18 of the armband wearing purists, and most are facing the rear of the rathskellar, where a beautiful blond woman is speaking fervently to them.

18:54, Today: Leroy du Lac rolled 9 using 3d6.  axe ~ 14.
18:52, Today: Leroy du Lac rolled 9 using 3d6.  DX ~ 13 (-2, 11 or less).

One leg on the step leading upwards, and the other leg braced not on the next, but the other step after, gives Leroy proper footing. He strikes the other man with his axe!
OOC: Leroy isn't wearing a cloak, but I get the proximity of the arrow! Don't hit me, y'all!

In reply to Marcus Blackthorn (msg # 303):

Rosewoodd's invisible wing brushes against someone's ear, and the offended one swats himself, the turbulence causes Rosewood to spin a little sideways, giving him  a view of two of the men at the door falling over. Most of the others haven't noticed it yet, but the man backhanded with the axe to the torso is bleeding out of his nose and mouth, and the axe sticks in him.

The other man on his knees draws a knife.

Leroy, make a ST roll to get the spike out of his chest.

Rosewood successfully cleared the door, and is midway through the rathskellar (which has a low, barrel vaulted ceiling) you got through the door easily, but were mistaken for a mosquito partway in. The assorted purists are grumbling in agreement with the woman standing on a low stool toward the back. She is wearing a red sash with white drops on it, to go with their white armbands with red blood drops.

Make a per roll.

The man with the leg injury goes down hard with a quarrel in the chest.

Two down without engaging those within, but some are starting to tajke notice.

Rosewood notices about half a dozen, are heading toward the door now, and yelling.

He also notices that the lady giving the stirring speech has a shadow that is not quite in synch with her movements.

Rosewood flies up over the shadow the lady has.
Up into the rafters.  He cast light spell on a coin and then drops it where the shadow is hoping to expose it for what it could be.
I.e draw the attention of shadow to the people looking at the lady.
If not her true shadow but some creature the coin will hopefully expose it.

OOC:
21:46, Today: Rosewood rolled 12 using 3d6.  Cast light spell NT13.
