Marcus relays that thr group.  He says ,"If someone wants to hold back they could probably block the way out with a wagon so they can't escape once they enter.  Then it's a kill box."

Anita will look for a location from which she can shoot the enemy from behind and deploy caltrops, but on a roof so she herself can hide and not easily be snuck up on.

There is a wagonload of nightsoil parked near here.  Combined ST of 22 to move it.

Make a climbing roll to get pn the rooftop.

Why is the nightsoil a problem? Sounds like somebody else's shit...

Anita scampers up to the roof to look around, checking all the other access points and escape routes, before finding somewhere she can hide and them appear once they are passed.

The manure wagon is not an issue, but it is not in position blocking anything yet. The site has too many exits otherwise.

Make a roll and post it.

Sorry, made the roll but forgot to post it! [Private to GM: made Climbing roll by 6.]

She is probably better directing stronger members where to place the wagon...

Someone is going to have to draw the purists here.

There were a lot of plans, quick call out to who is actually doing what

Once everybody is in place Rosewood flies of to find the purists.
Flying around and waving at them in his usual friendly way.

Hi he shouts.  Will your little lady let you little boys come out and play today?  Has mummies little precious ones eat up all their greens so they can have fun with the nasty little pixie or are you going sit in the corner, suck your thumb and cry because your not allowed out to play today?

Anita loads her crossbow and puts gets a couple of handfuls of caltrops ready to throw, after she fires her crossbow. Then she lays low, hard to see, and waits.

Marcus position self opposite of Anita to allow for a cross fire.  He sets an arrow in his bow and waits for the action to start.

You are leaving Gordab alone on the ground?

What is the current plan ? I am trying to understand what you are all going to do.

A tactics+2 or iq-4 roll to understand what you are supposed to do with caltrops.

Re: New in Town

In reply to Gordab Bardson (msg # 978):

Idea is to draw them into a dead end, inviting Gordab up onto the roof as well where there is a ladder or obvious access point. Then, as they attempt to pursue them up, we deploy the caltrops across the only exit and cut them down. At least that is Anita's idea. She is not a fan of leaving survivors...

Sounds like a plan. We're not facing off a mob ourselves, down there. Besides, we're gonna throw fire down on them.

In reply to Anita Drake (msg # 981):

Again, this is a 4 way intersection. There is one passage 1 yard wide, one 3 yards wide, and two 2 yards wide. The central area has bad fooring due to a ditch.

The manure wagon can block any entrance completely except for the widest.

There is no ladder

Please someone make an iq-4 or tactics +2 roll

Re: New in Town

In reply to Anita Drake (msg # 983):

Caltrops are used to limit approaches ... like blocking the other entryways, or narrowing the main one so that people in formstion have to break formation to get through and clear them. Trying to scatter them from a rooftop doesn't  properly soread them to effect. If the enemy turns and runs, you have boni to hit them; if they have to break a shield wsll and either come single file or risk injury that is better; blocking retrest of a shield wall guarantees they will charge you.

Also: Gordab has only a melee weapon, there are no ladders near

And your pixir already left to lure them in

"We might be better off to deploy the Caltrops close to us, around Gordab and Leroy on the ground, to slow their approach. We can also use them to limit the way they approach..."

She gives her 6 lbs of Caltrops to Leroy to deploy, along with his 2-3 lbs. A spare lb could never hurt if they have to escape...

Re: New in Town

In reply to Anita Drake (msg # 986):

with the smaller corridors and either side of the wide passage caltropped, and the medium one blocked by the manure wagon, you have limited access that will disrupt their planned formation fighting.
