With that, Leroy pops a filbert into his mouth, and eats it. He waits, expecting the caws to begin making sense, and perhaps be able to reply in kind, or er..crow?

Marcus scans the area warily gripping his bow tight waiting to draw and arrow and fire if need be.

The crow caws... and Leroy can hear it saying "strangers three beneath the tree, what do they have for me?"

"We three, have for thee, freshly baked quail pie...and a comb of wild honey."
Leroy replies, motioning to his group.

Leroy holds out a shiny, silver piece.

The crow flies down to snatch the bit of silver, and flies back up into the tree.

"Shiny shiny for me. Now who is it that is sought by thee?"

Leroy spends some time taking off his armor, and axe. He keeps his wooden shield slung on his back, and his war club is secured on his belt.

Marcus removes his long knife and quiver aside.

Those who have eaten the hazelnuts can hear something else...

Leroy listens to what the frogs are talking about.

Marcus nods in appreciation and eats a couple hazel nuts.

Leroy, has his armor stowed in his backpack. His club and shield are accessible, but slung.
As he tunes into the frogs, he begins to see the value of the nuts, beyond human speech.
