"The Envoy was not of this world, and though helpful, she was banished from this world by means of a demonic spell of banishment. Those same contractors that dealt with this lot are now seeking a shop that sells accursed things.
Very well, Urrun, you have done your penance for relieving yourself on the temple wall. These two speak highly of you, and I should take them at their word.
This woman will be watched carefully, and put to question. I have seen her before, claiming to be here to revive the worship of Flora, the fertility goddess. There was a man with her, claiming to be a priest of Janus... did you deal with him harshly, or has he made his escape?"

"He has escaped only to the underworld, along with his demonic friends, with Urrun as his gatekeeper, if I am not mistaken. They can enjoy each others company there for eternity for all I care.

So we can leave them all in your capable hands? The other prisoners should carry her for now...if she works her magic on them, it is no loss to us. We should return and see if there are any further cults down there, and we will keep an eye out for the seller of demonic shit as well.

The prisoners the acolyte is leading seem to be incapable of such a task; some are wounded, all have blank stares, and slack-jawed drooling visages.
They, and the dead wear sepia dyed robes, and have blackened nails and partially healed scratches on their faces. The folk you dealt with had a homespun robes and fliower crowns.

Goran cares not for the priestess, and is content to leave her in a heap on the floor, unconscious, and in the dirt.  She was barely human to him, and after her actions with the demons he even questioned that much.  How she could consort with that ilk was beyond him.  Humans were not meant to consort with demons.  Why she made that decision had to be for some nefarious reason, whether it be money, power, or some other related sin.

As such, the man they called Goran the Marked was ready to do more of the work that he found to be fulfilling.

"I stand ready to accompany you to Temple Hill, Hograth, so we can continue the good work we have started."

Goran nods his assent, but waits patiently for Hograth to assent.  He is more the leader than anyone, and Goran wants to make sure he's agreeable to the task before rushing off on his own.

He is, however, ready to go.  And perhaps overly eager to do so.

It seems like the plutocrat has things under control, so I will lead Goran and Urrun back to where we left off, and head to the temple of Flora/Janus.

OOC I think Goran would be somewhat excited to go clean up more religious deviants, and might be pre-occupied.  He not notice unless something stands out (beyond the ferret, which might be enough...)

"... ... an t'en Escrivan said 'But that's not my banan-', oh hey, t'e Plutocrat, we're in luck."

The elf seems to be quite happy to see Plutocrat Remulos, and as he approaches he arranges the book he's carrying so it's title will be easily visible to the Plutocrat.

He gives a quick bow, "Plutocrat Remulos, we've discovered this book which best belongs locked in t'e Hadereum's care or destroyed.  Is a text on demonic contract law that suspect is a trap for t'e unwary, an contained a scroll to summon an imp."

The mention of the book grabs Goran's attention.  He immediately loses the anticipation of cleaning out more corrupted worshippers as something of far more interest comes to light.  This was just the sort of thing that could influence many to the dark side of religion.  A book filled with such corrupted thoughts and ideas was truly dangerous in the wrong hands.  He steps closer to see if he can get a good look at the book and it's contents, while listening carefully for the stranger's answer to Hograth's question..

Jareth looks over Hograth for a moment before answering in a guarded tone, "In a library."

His response to the Plutocrat however is quick and open, "Not like t'e ot'er one.  This just be about demonic contract law, no summonin rituals aside from t'e scroll tucked in.  Though, t'ere be writtin on t'e page corners take as bein trap, didn't read enough to confirm.  Ken better in my old age than when was young an foolish."

"Yes" Goran adds.  "If this was in a library which was publicly accessible I need to know about it.  We can't have corrupt demonic cults springing up all over.  Even the best citizen can debase themselves reading literature like this."

Goran nods in agreement, scowling a little bit, which causes some odd wrinkles around his scar.  "That is what concerns me.  Good citizens will not do this of their own accord.  It is the ones corrupted by the foul abominations that do this work.  We must ferret that out if we wish to keep Shevnia unsullied."

OOC I don't know if that's quite the correct reference, please tell me what is if incorrect.

Responding to Plutocrat Remulos, "As fer t'e renovation of t'e block, goin wellish.  No further evidence of t'e cult's activities, though we did stumble across t'e old 'Boogeyman of t'e Sewers' an cured him of his insanity curse.  He's restin with t'e Clementiae."

"Won't take any more yer time Plutocrat," he gestures towards the Hadereum building, "who should we see about turnin this in fer t'e bounty?"

To Hograth, "A private library, known fer havin t'e weird books in." He fingers his Brotherhood ring*, "Wouldnay even brought it if weren't fer t'e trap an summonin scroll."
