"Hmmm, lets see. What is wrong, Urrun? They can get you far from Northport?"

He tries to rotate the statue to point to another door.

Re: Temple Hill

Goran pauses, and thinks for a minute.  His face shows a bit of confusion, and he looks up towards the ceiling, even though Hograth is manipulating the statue.  Then, he turns to face Urrun and asks him a question, in a bit of a quizzical voice.

"Do we count as your pack right now, or are you thinking of other bouda?  Or do I just not understand how you're thinking about this?  Since we are working together, I'd like to understand what you mean."

Then, he focuses his attention on what Hograth is doing, so he can open and close the doors here by himself.

Re: Temple Hill

Now you are all a pack I have, all time we Bouda travel in strong group and stay close. But pack must agree to do danger things. One Bouda do stupid, they do it alone.

Each of thr four orders features a fluted column; the simple doric columns flanked the winter gate, next clockwise is ionic, which has curling scrolls, the next, the corinthisn, has leaves, and the fourth, the composite, has both leaves and scrolls.

Re: Temple Hill

Goran responds simply.

"Because whatever is on the other side of the gate has access to Northport."

Then, after a moment of thought, he adds "We don't know that the door can only be opened from this side.  It might be that they can come through on their own."

"We don't know.  Not for sure.  But given the way the columns are decorated, it looks like we may have all 4 seasons.  As in winter, spring, summer, and fall.  By setting the portals to open, we can check them one at a time, and make sure there is no danger there."

AS Urrun seems at least open to the thought now, Goran pokes his head through the currently shimmering door to see what might be on the other side.

Gorran dissapears,! [Private to Goran the Marked: you are standing in damp young grass. Daffodils are blooming and there is birdsong. Not far away you can make out a circle of standing stones. Behind you is a pair of ionic pillars with a triangular tympanum, and a shimmering space between.]

In reply to Narrator (msg # 272):

The grotto of Vejovis, built into the side of a hill, is marked by a statue of a youth bearing a lightning  bolt and leading a goat on a leash. Accross from it are a number of robed and mangled bodies arranged for a pyre, and beyond that is a slightly run down looking domed structure ringed by a colonnade, and graced by a statue of a woman crowned with flowers, and a two faced bearded man. There sppear to have been offerings of flowers, but they are now piled on the pyre.
