Goran is too involved in his discussion of Theology to effectively search the area.

[Private to GM: 11:56, Today: Secret Roll: Goran the Marked rolled 15 using 3d6.  If involved, Search 13.]

Urrun notices that the key in the hand of the statue that isn't pointing smells of hand, much like the grips on the base do.

Goran is busy talking about burial rites, when he notices Urrun sniffing at the off hand of the statue.  "Urrun has found something.  That off hand, something is strange about it."

Stenet follows Hograth's lead and pokes heavily into everything making sure things are clear.

OOC:   16:45, Today: Stenet Fjall rolled 10 using 3d6.  Per 10 (Skill 12-2).

So MoS +0 for everyday stuff, MoS +2 if it's Demonic or Undead related, MoS +1 if it involves Evil Magic.

Narrator:

The key slides up and down, almost a foot. when you push it down there is a heavy clicking sound at the base of the statue.

The statue can lock while pointing at each gate, and pointing at the doorway to the main room, with all gates secured.

So far your searches have turned up no more cultists, although there were signs of several having fled from the site.

OOC:  Even if it's been checked over, not a bad idea to sweep it again, try to close off any area that can be closed off, so when we go through we don't have someone/thing sneaking back and locking us on the other side of a gate.

Re: Temple Hill

In reply to Stenet Fjall (msg # 341):

By signs of cultists fleeing, there are places where ornamental shrubbery and flowerbeds have been trampled. Nearby is the Redoubt of Vejovis,  the shrine of Priapus, the chapel of Hera, the temple of Jove, and the temple of Minerva. Past those are the temple of Helios and the empty grove of Eos, each a fair distance from the other. Beyon that are the abandoned temple of Atlas, which you had explored, the Hadereum,  and by the docks, the temples of Dionysius and Poseidon.

Smaller shrines are scattered about.

Temple hill is a few miles long and runs the length of the city. That is a search of several days, and any fleeing cultists could have cleared out in the time itbtook you to go to the Hadereum.

In reply to Narrator (msg # 344):

Once we have covered the hot spots, we would feel obliged to ensure the rest of the hill is cleared, so even if it was to take a few days, perhaps fast forward it because that was from my memory the primary task we were required to carry out. Ensuring the gates are cleared would be secondary.

Re: Temple Hill

OOC:  If it's up for discussion, Stenet would agree to taking the time to properly search the hill, make sure none of the abandoned or underused temples and shrines have cultists in the basements, etc.  Then gear up and tackle the gates to cut out the taint at the source.

Chasing an entire city district, that has almost as many buildings as redlight, and has at least three layers of understructure is a long long time of you go to this temple and these new npcs I have to write up are having a ceremony... maybe a few dozen times. This is like hunting through little Shevnia to find all of the giant rats in everyone's basement.
