Re: Temple Hill

Come through door with shiny in open place. Step from room to hill here and smell pie!  Pie very good! Many thank you.

Apple Cider is of no interest, the pie slice is gone in an instant.

Stenet mutters something in dwarvish... and then realizing he said it out loud, says it again in Aralaise, "The only ideals are the gods from which flow all purpose in life."

OOC:  This >< close...

00:01, Today: Stenet Fjall rolled 8 using 3d6.  IQ 6 (Stat 12 - 6 default), Platonic Ideals.

Re: Temple Hill

As a country bumpkin type, Goran isn't at all familiar with the finer points of philosophy.  He mumbles to himself "...plato...?  ...time standing still...?"

Then he shakes his head slightly, as if he had hurt something or had water to shake off his nose.

[Private to GM: Almost a critical fail.  He's about as clueless as clueless can be.  Just short of knowing exactly what they are talking about ,and interpreting it completely wrong.
10:35, Today: Secret Roll: Goran the Marked rolled 16 using 3d6.  Default philosophy 7

In reply to Goran the Marked (msg # 478):

Sending your confusion, the crone smiles gently.
"This place is always autumn,  and time flows from a fresh harvest of fruit to the last harvest of the year and back again. In truth, we do need to trade periodically with Summer in order to get flour and spices for baking, but we manage that easily. Young Becca loves this season and Caren  likes the cool air, and I am in the late Autumn of my life, so the place fits us each well."

In reply to Older witch (msg # 479):

Hograth was indeed confused initially, but at the old woman's words, his mind seems to settle.

"So you all belong here in a place that represents Autumn all too well. That is good, and indicates this place has not been corrupted. The temple through the gate had indeed been corrupted, and we were concerned how far this corruption had spread."

He sits back and enjoys the Cider, the pie and the company.

"So tell me more about this place and the inhabitants. Is there anyone new?"

Re: Temple Hill

Goran finds himself a little bit skeptical yet, but does notice that the rest of his group appears to be relaxing.  He has to admit that this does look innocent on the surface, and he's willing to take the environment at face value.  However, he remains somewhat guarded, and remains vigilent in case the signs change.

Re: Temple Hill

Goran's ears perk up at the comment made by the older witch.  He knew how they did things up in the hills, but This was a far different realm.  The religious content was his life.  He found the subject interesting when others might not.  Thus, he feels compelled to ask a follow up question.  "How do you do your exorcisms?  I usually start with prayers to Hors, chanting, and I cleanse some water for use in the holy ritual......."

OOC I don't personally know the proper method for exorcisms, much less how they would do it in Shevnia.  Please fill in any detail that would be apropriate.  The real intent was for Goran to compare notes with the witches.  It's a way for him to learn something, and also get a better appraisal of their religious views.  That's the main reason why he, and most of the group, are here.

Also Hograth and or Melchizadek, he can teach you the Shevnian Exorcism.  Not sure how different that would be to Hades, so it may or may not help.

Upon hearing the witches were versed in banishing magic, Stenet doesn't seem to be casting as many fierce glances their way, but he is still remaining on guard near the door.

Goran cocks his head sideways a hair, and then shakes his head somewhat uncertainly.  "I believe she tried to say that they are naturalized, in a manner of speaking.  This is their home now, so they would not be banished.  That is how I heard their explanation."
