For reasons mentioned, Hograth is happy to have Goran cleaning up. Once the cleanup is done, he will look for where to go next.

Re: Temple Hill

After the bodies are all ransacked and stacked in the middle of the area, Goran will move to the others to continue with the search of the temple.

"They can be burned when we leave, no need to smell the stench now."

OOC Goran will take all the appropriate precautions that he knows to do, just in case.  I recall notes in other threads about too many bones touching and that sort of stuff, but Goran may or may not know about any of that stuff.

Also, the assumption is that the others would help with assembling appropriate combustibles to keep the bodies on fire once lit.  If they don't help Goran will do it off screen.  Just want to make sure his actions are documented, while keeping the main thread moving.

In reply to Goran the Marked (msg # 152):

At the least you would need to gather brush from outside on temple hills to start a pure. Make an undead lore roll if you have it.

There are two doorways unexplored; one with a garlanded statue of Flora with some poutti (wingless cherubs) and a ple of flowers; and one beside a statue of Janus, also bestooned both flowers

In reply to Urrun (msg # 154):

Hograth will do minimal preparations with the bodies...they consorted with demons after all, so were not worthy of any honour, before going to assist Urrun, axe and shield ready. He does have hidden lore (undead)...[Private to GM: Rolled 3 under.] but he would do no more than to ensure they stay down.

Re: Temple Hill

In reply to Hograth Podkarmen (msg # 155):

Stacking unconsecrated remains allow for ghulae to enter our world, bodies not slain by undead and not given funeral rites can reanimated with outside assistance, and generally will not on their own unless particularly strong willed, and with strong feelings about unfinished business.  Any of them that you killed cannot comeback at all.

Beyond the flora statue is a domed room with a shaft of sunlight descending from an opening in the top of the dome. There is an altar covered with flowers, and a finer looking statue of flora with most of its original paint.

Re: Temple Hill

Goran will gather some vegitation to do as you stated, but will not start the fire yet.  Instead, he will get everything ready for a Shevnian burial ritual, and then proceed with assisting the others.

OOC He has Occultism and Hidden Lore: Spirits, so unless any of those apply he would not have any knowledge beyond what everyone else has.

In which case Hograth will really just be concerned about cleaning up, and then moving on. He will check the next room for any signs of demonic influence...before looking for other exits from that room.

Goran will join them as soon as he is done with the tasks.

OOC Not sure if that is being done off screen, or if they will be exploring while he is working.  Whatever the timing is...let me know when appropriate.

The bodies are laid out, but holding on being burnt until you can gather fuel for the flames. If you want to take ten minutes to perform an exorcism here, then the others will stand by.

Re: Temple Hill

OOC Goran would perform the exorcism, I think.  Religion is his first priority, and it's likely the shrine is uninhabited after the recent carnage.

Pausing on a hunt for firewood, Goran begins an exorcism, marking the perimeter of the room with his flaming flail, and chanting.

Make a roll, then we proceed.

Re: Temple Hill

For 10 long minutes Goran performs his work, chanting and using his flail aflame with religious fire.  He paces around the perimeter of the room, performing exact movements, and praying aloud.  And then, after the extended ritual, he extinguishes the flam on his morningstar, and takes a knee to both rest, and to pray.

[Private to GM: Seems to have gone well.

There is a faint scent of corruption lurking beneath the smell of the flowers. The statue, which also has painted carved stone flowers, is also garlands, and the altar is covered with flowers, and surrounded by 5hem.
