Re: Temple Hill

In reply to Urrun (msg # 624):

As previously described, this creature has no neck. Additionally, grappling its head is a trifle difficult, as it is SM+4, making the head roughly 8 feet accross, and the beak over a yard accross.
Fortunately,  it is feathered, and Stenet is holding on to that.

Given the absence of a neck, is Urrun strining at the head or the torso?
The feathers are dense, but no where as dense as the scales.

As the thing goes down Goran tries another swing at the thing.

[Private to GM: This was intended to be the attack roll (my error), and it is a CRITICAL FAIL.
17:35, Today: Secret Roll: Goran the Marked rolled 18 using 3d6.  Flail damage 2d+2 +2 for fire + Silvered.

I had him roll a critical fail, but will leave all the description to you.

In reply to Goran the Marked (msg # 633):

Goran wraps the chain of the flail around his wrist, it will take an extra turn to ready it.

Urrun's cleave into the shoulder sprays the area with ichor.

Stenet pries open the beak, giving someone ac"ess to the tongue, but it shreiks right at him, causing 9 sonic damage without a HT roll, and temporarily deafens him.

Re: Temple Hill

Goran swings with extreme determination at the leg in front of him, with a small tear in the corner of his eye.  Everything about this creature was wrong, and evil.  The situation reminded him too much of his home, and of the people that were killed there.  He had not been strong enough to defend them.  Watching the witches try to defend this land from the creature pulled at his heart strings.

In this moment, Goran finds that the peacefulness of Hors had not yet permeated through his character.  His emotional response has led him to try just a little too hard in his fight with the creature.  When the beast suddenly crashes to the ground, Goran discovers that he had leaned into the swing far too much.  suddenly the leg he was aiming for was not there, and he was way off balance.

As the chain from his morning star wraps itself around his waist, Goran practically erupts with frustration!  "BY HORS!  THIS ADVENTURE HAS BEEN CURSED FROM THE BEGINNING!  BEGONE YOU FOUL CREATURE!!!"

OOC Goran will take a round or two to untangle himself from his weapon.

OOC:  Hit Location?  Large Area Damage?  Or does it bypass armor altogether?

Need see if I'm making a HT roll for Knockdown or not...

In reply to Stenet Fjall (msg # 638):

"What the hell are you doing? Grappling it before it is disabled is only protecting the thing! Let us hack it a bit first!"

He holds his attack until Stenet gets out of the way.

(Same attack as before, I guess, as he still has not done it?)

OOC  Unsure of general placement.  How it exists in my mind may or may not be accurate.  If he's in the way of Hograth, he'll move.

The shriek is area damage, primary DR affects it.

The tongue is -3 for size.

OOC:  Okay, so an Area attack, but not Large Area Damage.  Stenet is is "fine", realing, but not having to make KnockDown/Stun rolls for a Major Wound as he only takes 6 injury after DR, not 7 or more...
