Re: Hunting for a specialty shop
OOC: The Puissant Thrusting Broadsword ($5,500), by itself, is more value in loot than everything else we've brought in*. So... just like with the stone several people clamored to "keep for themselves", anyone wanting this would need to cough up a payout to the group, either now, or in perpetuity...
* By 'everything' I'm clearly not including the Wish Stone. Nor am I necessarily including the 'true value' of the Book of Demon Summoning, since I'm still not sure how much gwythaint is charging for Restoration†, I know what DFRPG charges canonically, but "prices of spells" seem to be in flux going back and forth from 3e, to 4e, unknown as the years have gone by.
† By DFRPG pricing for Restoration, the Book of Demon Summoning puts all the loot we've accumulated at slightly more than the Puissant Thrusting Broadsword by itself.
And yeah, since no one has the Broadsword skill, we basically decided to go the "sell it" route. However that was 1 year day ago, so if someone has changed their minds, speak up.
Also, remember the plan for the stone was to create a fully kitted out Alchemy Lab in the 'basement' for Jareth, Jocelyn, and Nodwin. This was before Benito joined, but Benito could get in on this as well. Though there may be limits as to how many people could use it (by the initial calculations it would give 3 Alchemy Workshops worth of equipment (with some ingredients already in it) or 1 Good Quality Alchemy Workshop (with further investments required) - we hadn't decided on which direction we wanted to go, though my leanings was on 3 workshops over 1 Good one).
