Re: Hunting for a specialty shop

Mancini lowers his voice. "Remember things are not what they seem with these demons."

He looks intently at the reflection and the decrepit tavern. "The reflection on the ground and the inside of the tavern don't match. Could it be some sort of illusion or riddle?"

His eyes float over to the name of the disreputable establishment. "Does anyone know what splitfoots might mean in this context?"

Mancini scratches his head for a moment. "And grammatically shouldn't it be splitfeet? Why would they choose such a term?"

04:19, Today: Mancini rolled 12 using 3d6.  Observation  14.

Re: Hunting for a specialty shop

"Splitfoots?  If it's a plural for the whole word, instead of part of it, that's correct as opposed to 'splitfeet'.  First thing that comes to mind is cloven hooves, like cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.  Or fauns, though we don't see many of those around Northport."

06:20, Today: Grimaldi rolled 14 using 3d6.  area knowledge (northport) ~ 14.
"A fine name for a den of demons. Hmmm..."
Grimaldi mulls over in his mind, if he had heard anything about this place before, or it's reputation, in Northport.

"This place might be their security. Check out their patrons. I'm all for blood, but let's be surgical, if we can. It'll improve the chances of both success, and getting out alive."
Grimaldi reasoned, casually.

Re: Hunting for a specialty shop

"For once Grimaldi says something that makes sense", Mancini says to Sederic. "If we bust in there swords readied, all we are going to get is bloodshed and no answers."

Mancini ponders for a minute. "This is probably the last audition before they disclose the actual location. What we need to do is make them see us as one of them, or at least people who they can bend to their way of thinking."

Ooc: Psychology roll passes.

The door to the long shuttered tavern squeaks open with a shove, revealing  a dark room  thick with dust, and  cluttered with broken furniture.
The light from the door does little to penetrate the gloom.

In the ruin of this place, there are small footprints  in the dust.
You hear a clatter and a faint giggle. Something about 2 1/2 feet tall runs behind an overturned table. It looked like it had a knife.
