Ardenas looks at the squiggles on the document.

He turns it upside down, then sideways, so the lines of writing run vertically.

Ardenas looks up -- to gauge the position of the sun, if he can't see the cathedral clock.

Performing the ritual where she was last seen would improve the chances of returning her to this plane.

"We must return to the place from whence, she was banished, for the greatest chance of successfully resummoning her, for that is where the remnant of her lingering presence remains."

He turns to the vendor.  "Let's do this at sunset this evening, then.  Gather your people here a half hour or so before, and we'll lead you.  The place is near the docks.

"Tell them to come prepared, in case we meet others of our opposition."

He starts to turn away, then stops sharply.  "Wait, Mancini, will you need chalk or salt or something to draw the circle?"

Having learned nothing from the stakeout, Mancini returned to the group. He learns that the other group had much more success, finding additional items for the summoning and a group of Kali followers to aid in the ritual. However, Mancini was annoyed that Grimaldi had snuck off and joined the others. He hated when others defied him.

He thought back to his learning and recalled something of use. "Chalk is useful enough. However, if we had crushed, salted demon bones it would be better."
