When the strange man arrives and starts demanding things, Sederic turn to him.

"Who the hell are you? Maybe you should wait in line?"

Mancini was about to answer the Ymid when he notices the new door and the customer entering. He eavesdrops on the customer as he racks his mind to see if he can remember where he may have seen him before.

Ardenas watches the newcomer closely.

"Cleansing?" he mutters.  He looks the customer up and down, observing any weapons that might be visible, looking for holy symbols or guild badges.

Nodwin is in well over his head looking through all these magical wares.  He'll pay attention to the items on the shelves and try to find something that might be useful.  However, he really can't make heads or tails out of anything, although he does take interest in the items the Ymid points out.

"What is this "Lament Collection?"  And what use could I make of this "Universal Remote" that you pointed at?"

Mario's eyes are still showing white all around the iris.

"Ummm, 'ultimate' has a couple meanings, and I got a sort of feeling you didn't mean 'unsurpassed.'  I think I'll just keep my hands to myself."

He starts to drift back toward where the top of the stairs came in.

Re: Hunting for a specialty shop

Mancini pondered the ethics of a vampire hunting vampires. While he was not concerned for the loss of the vampires themselves, he did not want it to spill over to the innocent citizenry. Nor did he want it to be a way for this vampire to become way too powerful.

Mancini made his way to the counter. "Excuse me," he said, pushing the others behind him, "but this will only take a second."  As he made his way up, he put on an air of a ruthless power hungry tyrant. He smiled maliciously at the vampire Hunter. "You can join us if you want. We could always use one with your type of skill set."

18:44, Today: Mancini rolled 10 using 3d6.  Acting 14.

Re: Hunting for a specialty shop

Jareth's voice calls up over and across the aisles, "DO NAY TOUCH ANYTHIN CALLED 'T'E LAMENT CONFIGURATION'...  OR LEMARCHAND'S BOX....  BEST JUST DON TOUCH NOTHIN!"

And then less voluminous, but still probably too loudly, "Right Kalima, 'fore t'e someone touch somethin best not be touchin, how we take this hell hole apart?"

Jareth begins checking for which pocket Akimbo is sleeping in to put hands on the little klepto and nip that mischief right in the bud.

OOC:  11:33, Today: Jareth Mooncalled rolled 12 using 3d6.  Hidden Lore (any) 11, Hidden Lore (Psi) 14, Hidden Lore (Elder Thing) 15, HazMat (Magic) 12, and HazMat (Psi) 12 if any of that matters for figuring out just how terrible this place is for the unwary...

Grimaldi face palms, as Mancini engaged the patron. It would've been best to let this one leave, rather than involve them in their business. He was getting aggravated, and it started to show.

In reply to Mancini (msg # 582):

"I appreciate the offer, but there is a city that needs saving. I see you brough a hunter of your own. Good luck!"

Given that the door behind him is made of brass and large panels of glass with faded golden writing...and that the view through the glass is very different  from the alley you came through, you don't think the city he mentioned is Northport.

Ardenas, noticing the door for the first time (the strangely clad man who had come through it having held his attention before), sidles over toward it and examines the glass (seemingly ignoring the view).

He makes a small, vigorous "come here" motion toward Mancini.

If he was already out of pocket before Jareth realized how dangerous this place is, he's off stealing.  If not, Jareth was grabbing him to keep him under control.

Mancini notices Adrenas make a 'come hither' motion out of the corner of his eye. He pretends to look at something at the register for a second more, then asks the storekeeper if they happened to have a lament configuration.
