You note that there is a double circle drawn in chalk around the phrase "comme te voux" (as you wish) on a low brick that occassional passers by cast a glance down at. And then up at a roof beam with some scratches on it.

Once he notices the marked brick (from Mancini's and Oly's attention), Ardenas will rub his shoe heel against it while the others follow those upward glances.

Grimaldi remains silent, but is now aware of what was spotted.

The faint scratches and hash marks seem to be a map of sorts, suggestions of which turns to make.

Mancini takes out his notebook and makes a perfect rendition of the marks to serve as a map.

Grimaldi mused aloud, not trying to hide his glee for the carnage he assumes is coming, around the bend...

Mancini motions for Grimaldi to lower his voice. "Who knows if these sowers of chaos have spies or other ways of listening in our realm. The whole point of our rescuing our friend was to have an ace up our sleeves. Please don't go broadcasting our hand prematurely, Grimaldi."

"Though they may scry, in the end they shall cry."
Grimaldi replies, smugly.

Peering around the next corner, you see a woman sweeping in front of her stoop, and some boys throwing rocks at a bucket. The woman's  eyes go wide as the flaming aura of Kalima starts to show around the corner, and calls the children to go inside.

"Don't be disturbed on our account, lady. We're just passing through. Look well, for it isn't everyday, one lays eyes upon a celestial. We're on a task of goodwill, so let your children play. We strive for them, as well."
Grimaldi smiled disarmingly.

As you make the next turn, you notice a puddle of water reflecting a sign on a shuttered tavern.

The reflection shows the tavern full of rowdy drunken folk, in the late evening...you can almost make out the name on the sign...
