In reply to Grimaldi (msg # 264):

The dancing sword can attack things you can see, or things you can pointbat (ie invisibles walking through flour)

The sense spirit spell fails, must be something physical.

The bats take a few seconds to survey the area. To understand them, you need another spell.

In reply to Aoife (msg # 267):

You don't  have bat allies, but you can become one. How did you get the crowd of bats, were they created? If summoned and not allies, you would need beast speech, if a bat, you could speak to them yourself... pl3ase clarify.

There is a chuckle from the corner behind a fallen table...

Kalima points with her spear and advances, sniffing the air.

"Less than petty demon, not quite an imp. There, behind the table"

Following Kalima into the derelict-seeming tavern, Ardenas looks around for the source of the laughter.  "Less than a petty demon?"

20:01, Today: Grimaldi rolled 7 using 3d6.  perception ~ 14. Grimaldi follows the celestial, and the illumination her fiery hair gives off. He is able to now perceive the interior and is aware of the creature the others are talking about. Grimaldi narrows his eyes.

Mancini taps his foot and looks at Grimildi " I guess the master of the tavern doesn't want to do business. Oh well," he says blithely.

"I guess the master of this tavern must *like* pain since I suspect his master won't take kindly for refusing to aid two seeking power for themselves here in Northport."

(Ooc: 22:11, Today: Mancini rolled 14 using 3d6.  Intimidation (14).)

Grimaldi didn't like the idea of explosions, in a confined area. He looks for cover, as he draws his sword.

In reply to Mancini (msg # 280):

Mancini has heard of these exploding imps, they have been encountered more and more often. One of their victims recieved a crippling leg injury, they are much stronger with those skinny little arms than they look.

"They are evil filth, and explode like alchemical fire, and their bones splinter into darts if you are close. Don't get within a fathom and a half from them,  or their blood will burn you.  A good wound will take them down, particularly effective is a strike to the head. Ware their small size"

Mancini readies his rapier in case he needs to attack.

"Now, now Kalima. They are not truly evil in the same sense that a fly pestering a human is evil. Obviously, they are pawns of some greater master because they apparently have no independent thought. If they did, they would know to send for their master do that I can make a proposition with them."

Re: Hunting for a specialty shop

Grimaldi scoffed.
Hearing the thing's giggling, and it's description he figured the thing was twisted, evil, and thoroughly mad. To try and parley with such creatures, was  greater madness.
"They must be destroyed." (blood lust)
