Looking slightly amused, the patriarch admonishes his daughter.
"Alright that's enough, child.. "
He looks at the leprechaun evenly.
"Are you  dissatisfied my diminutive diva?"
*chuckles*

They have provided food, drink, healing and support in other ways, they should also share in the rewards.

"Ooh, like I have not heard that before. ' You got plenty in ya pot, right?' Like I would be doing this if I had a pot..."

She paused.

"I provide my own food and have needed no healing...were you actually threatening my with blackmail by threatening to call the guards? A fine thanks for helping folk get rid of their pests!"

"I can handle greedy, but don't rip off those who are helping you. I am a bit sensitive about people assuming I don't need my wages when I earn them, because I am a rich freaking leprechaun...because the rich part is a myth.

All right, lets get this money distributed, and lets find some more...

"So $106.50 is it? I would suggest if Mama and Papa want a full share from now on, they come with us. Otherwise the get half a share each, since they are not taking any risk as we travel further. I think that is fair..."

"We'd love to be down in the thick of our own personal dungeon, but somebody has to mind the stables and the tavern. Your concerns are sensible, however. I agree to those terms. Half shares, if we don't share full risk. Full shares, if we do."

Aldous accepts a piece of cake and cup of tea with a smile, and actually uses a fork, if available, to eat the dessert.  He sips from the tea cup, rather than slurping or gulping.

"Thank you, madam."  His careful pronunciation contrasts with his normal speech.  "This is the best food I have had in years."  He seems oblivious to Hetilda's lack of Aralaise.

In reply to Aine Walsh (msg # 884):

While you can make a tasty, sustaining potato based meal, even a sweet one, you cannot make pure sugar; that would require a custom spell with distill and flavor as prerequisites, and might also require beets or cane as a component. You can make food, but not agricultural byproducts.
Sweet potatato pudding or cake, but not a pile of sugar. Likewise you could turn potato peels into fries, buttered mashed potatoes but not steak and potatoes.
