OOC Aegis looks pretty well set up with equipment.  Going to let him settle for now and then look at upgrading once I have had him for an entire adventure.  That makes him ready to go whenever.

In reply to Aegis (msg # 61):

Does a Cornucopia Quiver that produces Bodkin Bolts cost extra? Can I also store regular bolts in the same quiver?

Edit: Also, can I purchase Rugged and/or Expensive gear (Expensive: CF +1, weight 2/3, not applicable to Weapons Armour. Rugged +1 CF, weight x1.2, +2 HT double DR, not applicable to Clothing, Weapons or Armour. Low Tech P14, as well as High Tech, Ultra Tech and a number of others.)

In reply to Reanna Draegan (msg # 62):

DF does not use rugged or expensive modifiers.
Cornocopia quivers hold one bolt and nothing can be put in them. You can get bodkin only for the same price.

Masugatan, you might want to upgrade from DR2, maybe replacing the leather for a DR5 cuirrass for $1890. It is, after all brigandine,  and you are very nearly a brigand. A helmet might help too.

Brigandine is indeed for brigands.  Okay, I’ll take it for $1890, and to make the math easier I’ll also grab a fur loincloth for $10.  Never leave home without one.

The brigandine  gives you DR 5 in the groin, torso, and neck area. A helmet wouldn't hurt either.

I’m current using a DR 2 leather skullcap.  Would you recommend something more heavy duty?

Most folks with tactics who can see heavier torso armor than head will aim for the head.
DR 5 helm costs $450, an extra $180 for a visor ($360 for an intimidating one that would get you a +1 on intimidation, and -1 on other reactions)

Okay, I’ll take the helm along with an intimidating visor.  Even though I’m just a lowly street urchin, not Dreadnaught the Knight.

Reminds me of that old Henny Youngman joke about buying a new car in Sicily.  It came with a hood under the hood.

Re: Back in Town

Aegis doesn't much care where he goes as long as he gets paid.  Kinda in that "don't care if I live or die" place.
