Have the Chart, but didn't want all the Weight... Stenet's post helped significantly as Elven Light mail (DR 3) would meet my needs pretty well.
Can't afford to make it Fine & Elven, but that 75% of weight is attractive as well  (14 pounds for body and arms).  Decisions, Decisions...

Spidersilk cloth armor has DR2 weighs the same as any cloth armor, and has A cost of +99, so 100x the base cost. The value is that it stacks without penalty.
Fighter types can take a 5 point armor mastery to stack freely and get DR+1.

Spidersilk clothing costs 100x normal clothes ($120) and gives DR1.
Haskel has an enchanted set that give him reaction -1 as they look like smelly rags.

Re: Returned from the Abbey

Razael will go for Elven Light mail arms, legs, head and body,  30 Pounds and will sell the Gambeson with Jack Chains.
Cost is $3825 weight is 30 less the 11 pounds of the Gambeson and chains.

$7175 -  3825= $3350 left

Is it the weight or the cost that's holding you up from getting Lt Cloth GSS armor?

If it's weight, Fine GSS Lt Cloth weighs 13.5, costs $16,350.  Toss Lighten on there for $2,000 and it's a mere, svelt 10.25.

Sure, it's double the weight of GSS clothing, but the cost isn't that much more (GSS clothing is $12,000).

You could also toss Fortify on either for $1,000 for +1 DR.

And you might be able to talk gwythaint into Very Fine (aka Masterfully Tailored in LowTech) armor at CF +29 for -70% weight.

Very Fine Fortified Lt Cloth would be $5,500, weight 5.4 lbs, and be DR 2.  And it still be Lightened.

Giant Spider Silk Clothes are $12,000.  $120 (clothes) x 100.

Your choices are, buy something now that's too heavy, go without and save up, talk the GM into allowing Very Fine (Masterfully Tailored from Low Tech).

OK GURPS Magic says I can have the weight reduced by 50% for $500 ... that's a good deal!
Acceptable?

That would cost me $3825 +500 or $4325
My 30 Lb Elven Lt Chain armor now weighs 15 pounds. Add hand protection for another 0.6 Lbs and $50, so $4375 and 15.6 pounds.

DR 3 all over except boots are DR 2

We're using the rules out of DFRPG (you can't really use Magic's pricing anymore):

Notes
[1] Cost is for a suit of armor. Piecewise armor can have Deflect or Fortify that adds Defense Bonus or Damage Resistance only vs. attacks on that location, or Lighten for just the weight of that piece. Use 10% of cost for head, 35% for body, 15% for arms, 5% for hands, 25% for legs, or 10% for feet. Further halve cost for a breastplate or just one limb or extremity.
[2] Defense Bonus adds to that of any mundane shield. If both shield and armor have Deflect, only the highest magical DB applies. See Defense Bonus (Exploits, p. 47).

So... presuming we all made it back into town just fine (Jednesa wasn't stopped at the gate?) and we've sold our Loots* and commissioned our comissionables... are we all standing around outside the Guild like a glove full of sore thumbs looking for a hammer to strike?

Are we off to other threads (Back in town)?

* Which reminds me, we've got a wagon as well that could be sold.  Or repaired and used.

I am not aware of any other missions except the mage guild one. I think I have Christine and Melchizedek not there, though right now Aoife, Clarence and Sederic are in the thread looking for the evil shop. Happy if anyone want to take Sederic there to avoid two characters in one thread...or I can keep doing it. GMs call. Don't really care if Mel wants to accompany Christine and Nessy either if that helps the GM...

Rice Run is the only thread I don't have a character in.

I'm not sure the entire group is in that thread ("Back in Town") though (and how they were to be introduced into it.  I only joined it because I saw Christine posting in it)... and we haven't finished figuring out the disposition of the "Library".

I'm fine with continuing the Library discussion OOC while our Characters head off to whichever threads they are heading to.  I'm just not sure which threads those are.

quote:
The wagon is Jednessa's, isn't it?

The wagons was the previous missions equipment, however we were given remit to claim it (along with any other equipment they had) if we found their remains.  I can't find the thread where they were given the wagon, so i'm not sure if it was Guild property or if they purchased it with their initial funding.

I'm fine with us just pulling it into the Guild and unloading and leaving it to the Guild to figure out what the hell is going on...  Stenet is too preoccupied with needing to deal with his new armor and Jednesa literally has no notion about anything.

The batch can be sold to Aethelbert to keep in his quarters, with viewing privlidges.

The issue I am trying to solve in both of these (now) logistical/occ threads is who is going to be in what party. So far I have Dne/Masugatan, Aegis, and Reanna (Christine) planning on dealing with the mageguild,
And Jednesa could join them, while you, Christine or Melchizadek can regroup with anyone else looking to hunt evil. Personally, joining up with the folks on temple mount might work for you, although there is a dwarf holy warrior of Hades...Christine already has Hograth in that thread, although those two are fairly different.
Melchizidek would not go well with Goran or Hograth.

Sure.  So to recap you have two "open" quests:  "Deal with the Evil Mageguild" and "Temple Hill"

Temple Hill seems to be ongoing and rapidly evolving so if you want some of us to slide into there, we'll need to do so soonish.  Hograth/Christine is already in there.

Mageguild already has Reanna/Christine.

Stenet is fine for either.  I'll take whichever you prefer (for ease of slotting into or where his talents as a Holy Slayer best compliment).

Jednessa will be fine sitting it out for a 'minute' with Christine while we wait for a new opening or to form a new group around the core of Wizard and Meathshield.

quote:
Personally, joining up with the folks on temple mount might work for you, although there is a dwarf holy warrior of Hades...Christine already has Hograth in that thread, although those two are fairly different.

Like I said, whichever is easier on you, I have no real preference as Stenet has not worked with anyone of them yet (and I haven't read those threads).

Stenet's only preference (which he'll state if the Guild asks) is to "avoid working with Christine or Jednessa again, unless the mission needs collateral damage as those two are... indiscriminate around the lootables".

quote:
The batch can be sold to Aethelbert to keep in his quarters, with viewing privlidges.

That works for me.  I'd* be happy trading the lot of them for a 1 point Training Access (Aethelbert's Library) Perk (just as a suggestion).

* As long as everyone else says 'Yea' as well.
