Christine Bjorn:
Co-incidentally, Christine and Jednessa's conversation is outside, out of earshot of the rest, I should imagine. At least at conversational volume...

OOC:  To be fair to Masugatan, his Prick Detectors are finally tuned.  ;)

And if we're right outside the entrance Christine carved, Jednesa certainly echoes up it (she has both a Perk and Quirk saying she's easier to hear when speaking), Christine might just be hearable to someone with good senses.

In reply to Masugatan (msg # 932):

Beyond the well.made door is a room with a doorto either side, and a set of stairs down with a railing preventing falls down the stsirs from above.
The stairs, aside from the one step that has seen less usereach a landing and turn downward to an archway. There, a n iron door seems buckled yet is still in its frame.

Holding the light and following Masugatan, Emma will note the door.

"Looks like alchemists all around like blowing themselves up..."

She lets folk check out the door before opening it...

Re: Seekers of the Flame

Before checking the side doors, Masugatan does a ‘spot check’ for anything that might be a trap.

19:10, Today: Masugatan rolled 8 using 3d6.  Look for traps.

"Masugatan, let's check this left door first -- the water seeping out probably means something's broken or caved in behind there.  Are you better with traps than I am?"

Re: Seekers of the Flame

The Alchemist will look longingly at the iron door, but grudgingly stay with the group.  He can barely contain his excitement at being here, but he doesn't know how the rooms were organized.  Maybe the formulary and components were stored somewhere separate from the lab.  Maybe the explosion was somewhere else, and not in the lab.  He had no way of knowing, and so it was better to remain with the group and stay safe...for now.

The door swings fairly easily into a flooded rectangular room with a fireplace, overflowing stone sink, and a warped wooden table. Black mold coats one wall, and some rusted iron goodsare scatteredabout.

Masugatan looks at the fireplace.  Is it lit?  Does he see any sign that this place was recently inhabited?

The tradesman sighs, this was not what he was looking for.  But, maybe the alchemist that lived here was as good of a cook as he was a potion maker.  With a sigh, he grudgingly goes in and starts looking around.
