Re: Seekers of the Flame

While the others work on dinner, McNealy works on the potions his horse is carrying.  Then, with the reins tied down, he approaches the rest of the group.

"I'd like to test out your theory.  Let's canvass the area for some good herbs.  I could use some, and while out and about I'll set a few traps to see if we can catch some game.  I'll even try out some glue, to see if it does a better job than a deadfall."

OOC  Search for herbs in the surrounding area, as long as enough are willing to help to provide safety.  Also, while out looking, set a deadfall trap and a glue trap - I assume he can figure something out to appropriately make sure the vial breaks, and the glue is properly applied.

"We'll come with you, Alchemist McNealy.  We can compare technique, though we'll have to adapt ours a little for the dry conditions; we learned to do this in swamps and lake shores.

"We can help you look for herbs, as well -- both of us are competent at identifying herbs and natural medicines."

Masugatan also remains at camp, not feeling particularly motivated to help Mr. Alchemy harvest herbs for free.  Besides, he’s looking for a second helping of ‘chicken.’

Re: Seekers of the Flame

The sisters choose the locations for their traps carefully, looking for animal runs and burrows.  This is so different from the swamps and lake shores where they learned these skills, but they'll do what they can.

[Private to GM: 18:39, Today: Evelina Grattan rolled 9 using 3d6.  Traps (default 9).
18:40, Today: Elaina Grattan rolled 10 using 3d6.  Traps (default 8).
18:40, Today: Evelina Grattan rolled 10 using 3d6.  Naturalist (13) .
18:41, Today: Elaina Grattan rolled 11 using 3d6.  Naturalist (13).
Herb Lore has no default and neither sister has the skill.

Are there any leftovers from dinner?  If so, Masugatan will try to ‘accidentally’ sneak them his stomach.

Re: Seekers of the Flame

McNealy has no problems setting up some traps.  He handles it quite skillfully, with deft hands and obvious practice.

He's less successful with finding herbs.

[Private to GM: He does not have Herb Lore, but Poisons works for nasty stuff.  I substituted it, and it should double as identifying those berries as poisonous or not...had he not failed.

While uncertain as to the toxicity of the berries, they are known to be useful in relieving constipation,  perhaps a little too useful.

Before crawling into her own bedroll, beside Elaina's, Evelina casts Major Healing on herself to complete healing from her fall from the tree.

[Private to GM: 21:03, Today: Evelina Grattan rolled 9 using 3d6.  Major Healing (12+1 enhanced ritual) (2 FP = 4 hp).]

Emma takes the watch with Jednessa, and Chris assists on all watches. I assume Masugatans friend assists him with his watch?. That is five 2 hour watches, right, so everyone gets 8 hrs sleep, plus the half hour rest for dinner. We should all re rested for the next day?
