Re: Seekers of the Flame

“I don’t trust this.  It must be some kind of trap.”  Valuable item left unguarded in plain sight?  Too easy.

Christine and Emma look at other for a moment.

"No, I don't think so. But we can create water as well. Perhaps Masugatan has some wine?"

Re: Seekers of the Flame

After finishing cleaning it up a bit, Jednesa pats the roof like it's a small child and mumbles something.  Then goes back and waits next to the cart for everyone else to finish up with the shrine.

Re: Seekers of the Flame

Masugatan, obviously eager to prove his worth to the party, volunteers to do the heavy lifting.  He figures he’s damn tough, so who cares if it’s a trap?  And he does have ten fingers, so it’s no tragedy if he loses a couple.  He can always get somebody else to do the arithmetic.

Alchemist McNealy, noting that Masugatan is attempting the gate, looks around for more herbs and plants he can use.  He's not really concerned with the altar at all, so much as he is with cooking his potions.

"But legends say everything good stolen from gods by great hero, so maybe Massy try be great hero?"

Indeed. Christine is a bit of a scientist, and she does not know this god. Hence, she is not convinced a god she does not know will take any notice of her...

Emma worships Helios. How would he feel if she offered offerings to another god? A lot of gods are a little jealous of that kind of thing...

"Oh, yes, you're right, Jednesa.  I've heard stories of how even fire, the most basic of human tools, was stolen from the gods.  That theft was punished severely, though, wasn't it?"

[Private to GM: 18:13, Today: Evelina Grattan rolled 14 using 3d6.  Perception (14).
18:14, Today: Elaina Grattan rolled 10 using 3d6.  Perception (13).
