Dne climbs up about ten yards into the air, and goes higher if necessary, until he gets a good look ahead.

Avead you can see the curve of a river, with a stone bridge arching accross it.

Dilandua moves ahead to scout the bridge before the main group gets there.

Failures, unless it's pretty obvious, Dilandua will miss any traps, ambushes, etc.

Aegis is near the front, as the designated meat shield should be, so he gets a decent view...although he doesn't care to look that hard.  It's just another bridge.

Aegis  notices a chain hanging off the side of the bridge.

Reanna notices gouge marks around it, and that the chain is moving slightly, and that there is a large shadow under the bridge.

Dilandua notices the bridge.

Reanna will point out the shadow under the bridge, and aim at the shadow with her crossbow.

Actually, this would make a pretty good ambush site for the mageguild...is there another way across the river?

At Reanna's gesture, Aegis puts the coins he was jingling back into his pouch, and sheathes the knife he was messing around with.  Then he pulls out his bow and nocks an arrow, aiming for the dark spot she pointed at.

Dne asks if anyone would like to have their weapons electrified.

You are going to have to move a distance away from the bridge to get eyes on what is beneath it.

Aegis will circle to the side, carefully, making sure to maintain his aim at the dark spot.

OOC Is the bridge directly in front of us, or does the road curve one way or the other.  I assumed the latter, since we wouldn't see the dark spot with at least some perspective on it.  Aegis will circle to the front side, or head to the center of the circle formed by the curve of the road (if that makes sense).

Reanna did move a bit sideways to get that view...so yeah, some movement is required. She aims carefully at the shadow as well...

Was there another way to cross the river?

Dilandua stops on the road about 20 feet away from the bridge and waits, silent and unmoving.  Unsheathing one spear, just incase.

I could probably do it in the air, if that would be more convenient for the party.
