Having strolled to the side, Dilandua unsheathes one spear and says,  "The troll has no vital points to strike..."

Amazingly, the shield catches the troll under his knee, and it stumbles back. It doesn't fall either, but suddenly takes full notice of the little man in front of it!

But it ultimately means less than a maggot's reproductive organs to him, as he personally has no need of the bridge.

Reanna notices Dne flying and wonders if he has the ability to share that gift...her crossbow finally is cocked again. She moves her shoulder quiver to where she can draw from it quickly if she needs to again, and gets ready to draw another bolt.

Aegis warily keeps a bit of range between him and the troll, but makes no aggressive moves.  He respects the creature and it's fighting prowess, but it's also his job to protect the rest of the group too.  He doesn't care whether the thing lives or dies.  His only agenda is to do his job, and do it well.  As such, he waits in the uneasy truce, until the rest of the group decides how to proceed.

[Private to GM: Aegis has bloodlust and bad temper, but the thing has not actually hit him or pissed him off.  Thus, Aegis is going woth the pirate's code of honor, and sense of duty to the adventuring group.]

Aegis keeps his distance.  It seemed that diplomacy might work.  He was skeptical, as always, but it was potentially saving him from what looked like a tough fight.  The troll certainly looked like a match for the group.
