An armored Human seems to be leading the Trolls in this fight, his Axe is doing good work against these slime monsters, but they don't have the upper hand and are falling back in the face of the attack.

OOC:  Are there any trollwives among the defenders?  Before Ülo starts throwing around Resist Acid... in case someone already beat her to the punch.

Perhaps my wife, she seemed to be present earlier.

"What I have here has a blast radius, so if I throw it in the midst of several targets, it'll do the most damage, for my energy's worth."
Grimaldi explains to Jendrich and Lourdaud.
"When I throw it, if they survive that, chances are it'll be stunned for your onslaught! This will create a great flash of light..so prepare for that too."

OOC:  Grimaldi, did you actually cast Ball of Lightning?  Do you realize how slow that moves?

It's not a bad spell, it's just not a normal Missile spell.

"Understood." Though it's strange for Jendrich to puzzle out magical strategies, he keeps his focus on his own task. He raises his shield, peeking over it just enough to keep track of the nearest foes, and ready to take advantage of any opening Grimaldi creates.

OOC:Yeah, I know. It's more precise, and a speed of 5 isn't too bad. I can stay behind the melee, and will the ball forward. >:D Having formed the pulsating ball, Grimaldi opened his palm, letting it loose in the air, where it began to steadily move towards targets... (targets in range?)

The people of the pit are massive slugs with four tentacle arms , a gaping mouth, and a pulsatinf, glowing multiorbed eye on a stalk that seems to be the source of both the warbling sound and the pulsing cired lights.

The trolls are being affected by the lights, and one of the orcs with you looks dumbstruck, and is walking toward the creature, with its spear dragging on the ground.

A trollwife (like Ulo) approaches, clutching a ball of blackish green fire, and beside her is Svetlana,  Johan's wife, who is preparing a similar spell.

Syvanus'shot catches the (SM+2) creature in one of the lobes of its triple  lobed eye. It screams, psychically- everyone make a will roll (FC)

As much as he wished to help the enthralled troll, Jendrich remembered one important lesson: don't break the line. You break the line, you're putting yourself and your friend at risk.

Instead, he continued to wait for the spell to explode, trying to ignore the terrible scream.

The orc walks toward one of the creatures, which snatches him up with its tentacles!

The ball lightning moves forward, and the two deathtouch missles smack into two of the pit creatures, eating away at their flesh.

Grimaldi focuses his ball, towards those pit creatures struck by the death touch missles. If he could get them both with the blast, He hoped he could take them all out, with one ball...

Watching the blackish-green balls of fire cast, Grimaldi was very keen on learning all he could about that missle!

Ülo begins chanting and preparing another casting of resist acid, clearly putting more fancy footwork into this casting than she did the last.
