Johan whips his axe in front of him, and for a moment,  nothing happens.  Then the top half of the creature slides over, and it collapses on itself, liquified innards pouring out of the bisected halves.

Syvanus' arrow sailes into the creature's open maw... and out of its back. A stream of ichor and acid sprays like a firehose out of both ends, until the creature deflates completely.

Ulo looks at the acid splashed trollwife and cringes... and then casts resist acid on herself.

Not wanting the creature to recover, Jendrich slashes high, before striking again with a back swing.

The spit upon trollwife was NOT protected by Ullo, and shrieks as she is struck by the corrisive spittle.

Grimaldi has raised a bolt of lightning,  and can throw it in a moment.

Jendrich  slashes twice tgrough the attacking pit creature, killing it in a splatter of ichor.

Three are dead, two are wounded.

AsSvetlana runs to the trollwife's aid, Fenric the archer fires at the spitter,

"Over here, hellspawn!" Jendrich shouts at the spitting monster as he runs up to it, hoping to keep it distracted while the trollwife is being rescued.

Ülo looks to see who else is directly fighting the pit creatures, who might not be protected from their acid spit.

Johan moves to support Jendrich's attack with his axe

Johan cleaves into the already badly wounded thing from the pit.

Syvanus' flaming arrow is buried deep in the other wounded aberration.

Svetlana pours a healing potion i to the wounds of the scorched trollwife.

OOC:  Is the acid cyclical, or one-and-done?

Jendrich seeks to bury his blade deep into the creature, hoping to hit something vital to finish it off.

Grimaldi's bolt badly chars one and stuns it.

A wave of nausea strikes anyone failing a will roll.

Grimaldi shrugs off the wave of nausea, as it washes over him. What were these horrible creatures? He couldn't risk casting anymore, and withdrew to stand by their goods, and gather mana. He looked out for Lourdaud.

Lourdad steps forward and beats on the thing with his spiked mace, spattering ichor about. This was the one that had spit at the trollwife,  and is gravely wounded.  Lourdad, who had been affected  by the previous mental attack, starts to stear it up with the long spikes of  his weapon.

He is able to shake off the Nausea as well and looks for any open targets for his arrows.

Ulo ignores the slugbeast's mental attack and moves over to the scorched trollwife, checking to see how badly wounded she still is.

Jendrich grits his teeth, and moves in the last creature's sight. Either the creature will turn it's attention to him as the obvious target, or it will ignore him and leave itself open to an attack.

Seeing Jendrich's intent, he looses a flaming arrow toward the beast.

The downed trollwife whispers to Ulo, and laughs , a sputtering rasping sound. She is badly wounded.

Meanwhile, the badly wounded pit creature hoists Lourdad off his feet with a pair of tentacles.   Jendrich reaches the creature just as Syvanus' arrow sinks into it, lightlighting it from within.
Nevertheless,  it seems to be holding on.
