Re: Trading with Trolls 2

Ülo indicates for the trolls to follow their scouts footsteps or stay in the draft of the wagon.

"No need for roping, just stay on the scouted path or trail the wagon.  But if you feel the need, I recommend roping to the wagon, if it is an underwater beast, it's not likely to be strong enough to drag that away... and if it does, well..."

Ülo moves over next to Rushagorn, to translate if necessary, and reaches up and touches it at a high point in the front.  She mutters something and a moonlight emanates from the spot she touched.

"In case every single torch bearer falls down at once for some reason..."

OOC:  13:19, Today: Ulo rolled 12 using 3d6.  Casting Continual Light (Moonlight) 16 on wagon.  Cost 1 FP, does not count as a spell on.

Current Footprint: 0
Spells On:  Hide (no Footprint), No Smell (No Footprint)

In reply to Ulo (msg # 299):

The orc with the pole prods the puddle ahead in a broad sweep before advsncing. From what you can see, the water stretches accross 4 yards, and continues for at least teenty yards. As the orc advances. You can see it is deeper than it looks for he is quickly in up to his knees.

Jendrich sticks close to the wagon, keeping watch over the rear guards as they cross. If anyone is likely to vanish without notice, it's the one in the rear.

In reply to Jendrich (msg # 301):

The merchant pauses to reorganize the parcels on the wagon, so as to maintain dryness as much as possible.

The orc ahead raises an arm as the end of the pole dips.

Ülo turns and begins climbing out of the water up onto the cart, even if that means holding onto the side.

Grimaldi waited, and watched... Whatever it was, he wouldn't be able to use his lightning, as there was too much water around them, and everyone would be fried.

Re: Trading with Trolls 2

Was it some sort of moving portal, filling with the present water? Grimaldi had seen such things recently, but did lightning strike the same place, twice?
Grimaldi asked himself these questions, as he retreated away from either his grandiose notion, or the possibility that the floor contained some sort of aquatic subterranean, burrowing creature!
