About twenty minutes have passed since you got out of the water and enterred the Sea of Holes. Ulobrecalls that there are things in the holes. They were easier to avoid on the way here with everyone on foot.

"Avoid being near the holes.  There are things in them, not sure what, we easily avoided being to near on our through.  Though, it looks like we'll have trouble with the cart."

She removes her cloak and wraps it about her left arm, leaving most of it dangling, in a style reminiscent of fencers.

Jendrich moves closer to the front, hoping to help find a usable path for the chariot. It wouldn't take much for a few holes to trap the caravan...

He has his bow ready with arrow knocked.

As you approac a hole there is a rasping sound,followed by hissing from several nearby holes.

OOC: this sounds like a good place to use a lightning ball, to use as an area of effect, blast. is it not? if so.... i'll blast the area with lightning, before we pass through.

Grimaldi summons forth lightning... and zaps himself with it! Roll vs ht to avoud stun, take 2d-2.

Ulo's lightning looks fine, and Syvanus feels his energy expand outeards and thrn snap back jarringly.

Jendrich circles to the side of the hole, making sure to stay clear of the spellcasters' line of fire.

Jendrich feels the maw strike his shield, pausing his advance. Not wasting the occasion, he lashes out with his sword, hoping to catch the creature before it can defend itself.

Injured and in pain, Grimaldi struggles with a casting, but flames eventually blaze forth from his sword, so he can brandish it at any of these creatures, as they try and pass...

The creature withdraws, hissing. Another recoils from the flaming sword...

Some of these holes are easily avoided. The necks of the creatures can extend two yards, and quickly; the problem is that many of the holes are just that distance apart.

Plotting a zig zag path through with the minimum amount of interaction is possible, but only if the cart is rolled directly over several holes.

"We could plot a course, if we scouted ahead, and filled in the holes, needed to safely navigate through this cursed place! We could lend each other the necessary energy."
