You raise the ball of lightning with no energy cost! At the same time, you gain the perk 'psychic guidance' for this spell, using your skill with the spell and not innate attack to steer it. Unfortunately you also gain the quirk 'constantly getting static shocks' people will know you by your crackling sparks.

Unlike explosive lightning, which is an area affect spell, ball lightning is a slow moving missile for one target.

Upin impact with o e of the Morays, you note that three others appear to be stunned along with the target!

"It's a long shot... but if we can get the main mass to bleed, then maybe we can weaken the whole lot of them." Jendrich says, before trying to stab the fleshy mass.

The troll nails the wounded eel in the skull, killing it. As he draws another arrow, he gestures at the breadth of the cavern.

Grimaldi retreats behind the melee fighters, allowing his sword to extinguish.

"Wait!  Rafik is right!"  Ülo gestures, "Look at the holes, how many there are, how wide spread.  If they are all of the same beast, it is a giant and we stand upon it's back.  It might be best if we only attack the eels as they come out and clear as narrow a path as possible."

"Wait... you mean it could destroy this hallway?" Jendrich grits his teeth. "Jesus... Alright, we need to pick up the pace then. Let's keep to the same plan, I draw them near, the deepguard chops them up." With that, he moves to the next hole blocking the wagon's path, ready to distract the heads coming out of it.

Jendrich wasn't used to dealing with creatures like that, but he knew enough about positioning to estimate a relatively safe path.

Jendrich leads the guards to the next hole, and draws out the creature when they're ready to strike.

We stick to the same strategy: All-Out Defense (block), block the first attack, then dodge the second one. Meanwhile, the guards take a Ready action to strike the creatures as they attack me.

"Gah!" Jendrich takes a few steps back, the eel's teeth locked into his mail armor. "Curse that thing, it won't let go!" Fortunately, the damage seems to be limited to the padding under the mail.

The guard slices deeply into the stunned eel, and the troll archer finishes it off.

The deepguard chops the one that bit you in half.


Ooc, you are taking on a lot of this burden! I need other players to chime in. You are almost clear of the sea of holes.

Ülo is staying with the wagon, out of the way, but keeping ready in case she has to drag someone to safety and apply healing.

Syvanus is recovering fatigue. Firing arrows into melees is an iffy business.
