Re: Trading with Trolls 2

"Tumedaks reinforce the walls in their areas with star iron to block the prying eyes of your mages above.  And many years before we were taken to here, the great star fell and spread itself into the rock, deposits of it's iron can be found all over.  It is a hungry star and consumes mana.  That is likely what is causing ebb of mana, the walls or the room beyond may be laced with remains of the fallen hungry star."

"Sounds more like a cell... A place where you keep something you don't want to be found." Jendrich frowns. "That changes a lot though... Ulo, you can't move the wall if it absorbs magic, right?"

"Maybe not found.",  Grohm interjected from the doorway.

"What if there is something in there that was not meant to be released."

Re: Trading with Trolls 2

"Yes.  If the wall is laced with the star metal, it will not be moldable.  However if instead it is the room beyond that houses something draining mana, the wall may be just outside the area, within a lowered mana.  In that case it just becomes more difficult, more hazardous to ensorcell the stone.  Regardless as soon as I've rested and this room is deemed 'dealt with' I can try the next wall."

She looks over the debris.  "When you gentlemen are done sorting the goods from the trash, if there is too much to carry, I can create a hole in the stone wall back here to house it and cover it over to remain hidden until we return."

Narrator:
the golem room is secured.
the library room... is another matter.

OOC:  I presume by "golem room" you mean the "hallway" with the "animated statues/golems", but what do you mean by "the library room... is another matter"?

Ulo secured the doors on both walls.  Or do you require further searches of this room?

Re: Trading with Trolls 2

Jendrich looks at the wall, considering what Ulo said. "I was told I have magic in my blood... I'm just not too good at controling it." He focuses on a piece of broken glass, muttering in a low voice as he mimics taking it, without actually touching it. After a moment, the glass starts wobbling, before lifting off the ground. "I can just... move small objects... sometimes..."

Slowly, the glass moves toward the strange wall. "It's  probably silly, but... maybe we seeing how that thing reacts will help you figure out what the wall does?"

Re: Trading with Trolls 2

Jendry finds it a little difficult to hold the spell as it gets closer to the far wall.

This room has two doors- no one has approached either. One to the left presumably heads to the hall of statues, the other to the right you are uncertain of.

unless examined,  I cannot describe more, even with Syvanus' per roll.

has Grimaldi checked the book with the hidden vial?

He will go look at the door, look for any traps and at things around it. Something cataches his eye to the side of the door and he moves to look at it more closely.

Is the vial situated within the cutout pages of a book, like it was hid inside, and is the vile still full?

about the doors- I thought you were sealing the corridor with the statues from the Slorn side of things, not the exits from this room

OOC:  Things Ülo has sealed off "for later":

The Slorn Tunnels.  Sealed from the Main Tunnel, also the nest room is sealed completely as is the (now) short tunnel the slorn bodies are in (to protect them from predation).

The Main Tunnel between the Golem/Animated Statues and where we cut our side tunnel into these rooms.

Both doors of the Library Room as we have an exit tunnel behind us out to the Main Tunnel.

[Private to GM: And don't forget, she is now retreating into smoking to remain calm the closer they get to her home.  I have no idea how you want to handle the hallucinatory mushroom effects or if they'll affect anyone else (enclosed space with smoke), or if they're only hallucinatory to Trolls, etc.]

The fumes seem to relax anyone who doesn't critically fail the health roll+2 I am now asking for, Ulo now has quirk level chummy  and is starting to see colors in the dark.

everyone has -1 to initiative, unless the HT roll is passed.  crit failure causes severe hallucinations,  enough to have -1 on all rolls for a few minutes.  a critical success leads to temp version of Visualization
