Holy water, which causes damage to creatures who take damage from holy things, can be despoiled in a variety of ways, from casting a curse, to the addition of impure substances, including but not limited to blood of a demon, immersion of unholy objects, and bodily waste.
The substance is created by the divine casting of create water, purify water, and bless, although on occasson, ordinary water may become holy by immersion of holy objects or relics, including but not limited to the blood of saints and the feathers of angels.

"I'd thought this fountain belonged to the Triunists, part of their cathedral -- and though not my faith, I've found Father Robard quite pleasant in recent dealings.  But you are employed by the Hadereum, then?"
