Benny gives Mancini, Norman, and Sederic a look as he slowly rises, playing up his age.

"Come on Felix, let's go turn this cultist over to the Hadereum, then you can tell us all about the shopkeeper.".

"I wonder, though -- if it weren't natural, wouldn't it require magic to occur?  Or are you referring only to Aloysius, and not to every Urhaqui hybrid with humans or goblins or hobgoblins, every half-ogre or half-elf in the world?  What about dark ones?  Or Elder spawn?"

Aoife watches both the cultist and Felix, but does not move until both of them are on the move.

Benny moves behind the still seated Felix and places his hands lightly on his shoulders, "Felix, I'd love to hear your ideas on nature, but young man, we should be moving along."

He nods to Sederic and Norman again, this time with a little more emphasis.

Great roll, too bad this is yet another of my Characters that doesn't have Gesture.

Sederic looks at the cultist, then the door, then back to Benny. Frustrated, he draws his weapon, which longs for blood.

"I am sure they will go quietly, but if not, yes you get a drink... now stay here and do not allow any to leave until I return...attack Noo one who is not leaving though unless I say otherwise."

With that he releases the wrapping to hover in the doorway and moves to assist Benny.

Ardenas reaches out to the cultist who spoke of the Devourer, gently (or not so gently, if necessary) disengaging his hand from the symbol hanging around his neck.

"Perhaps you'd better let us hold that for you until we get to the Hadereum.  Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt, and I've seen some of those that could give a nasty slice."

He moves quickly... He draws a knife and cuts the cord around the cultists neck and pulls the cross away from him.

Meikki, the blade that dances, throbs in Sederic's handand the whispers intensify in his head.

"Right then Felix, let's get this cleared up and get your name out of that shopkeeper's ledger..." Benny starts to genlty urge Felix to stand up.

If you wanted Fast-Talk instead, that's a 16.  I don't think Diplomacy is appropriate, while Benny is being diplomatic, he really is laying a con down and isn't actually inclined to help Felix, just get the books, find out what Felix was doing for the infernals, etc.  I mean, if he can guide this lost soul back to the path, that's maybe something, but Benny isn't really interested in that (unless this guy turns out to be a member of the Roman/Greek faith).

"Yes, we do.  The Lord of the Coin and Transactions provided it.  The cost was mine to bear but worth it if we can save everyone in it and undo the trickery that shop spawned.  But anymore talk should wait until we're in a less crowded location."



OOC:  If he's been successful in getting the apprentice on his feet, he'll begin steering him towards the door, but avoiding the cultist cluster if possible if not, he'll wait but aim the man (by placing himself opposite Sederic) so Sederic can approach "unnoticed".
