Re: Junior House Again

Nodwin considers for a moment, then eyes the group and speaks somewhat directly.  "Let's take a look.  We don't need to actually engage anyone, and we're probably not interested in stealing it.  However, if others are down in the sewers like us, we have additional precautions that need to be made.  We don't need any unexpected visitors visiting our city block from below.  I'd rather know than not."

So gate repair, and locks might be adviseable; a replacement for the worm gate would cost $250 including lock and take about a day to install...

Benito could charge the $60 per day rate to install it, or just do the work as part of the team.

Nodwin also has Shape Earth, so he could certainly be of benefit to getting gates and doors installed easier.

Re: Junior House Again

Mario's eyes get wider for a moment.

"On point?  Okay.  Quarter mile that way."  He points along the north corridor and takes a few steps, then waits for the group to form up.  As he waits, he draws a silvered arrow from its quiver and nocks it to his bowstring, holding it in place with his left thumb and forefinger.

Re: Junior House Again

Nodwin gestures for Brodak and Jareth to take the next two spots, and then suggests Clarence take the rear of the group this time.

"Brodak, why don't you look after Mario?  If you find anything nasty, get it's attention.  Jareth, you know way more about the obscure stuff we see down here than anyone else.  In my opinion you should be towards the front.  Keep your eyes open.  I'll follow you.  Clarence, would you be willing to take up the rear, and make sure nothing comes up on us from there?"

This hallway is barely 2 yards wide and slightly arched, making the center just a foot above two yards. It is a tight space.
The air is starting to get a little musty.

With the order of travel decided, Mario heads north along the main corridor, bow with nocked silvered arrow and light stone tied to the upper nock at the ready.

Re: Junior House Again

Mario approaches the crossing slowly and carefully -- no point trying to cover his light, anything with eyes will have seen the glow of our approach, but nothing to be gained by blundering right out in the open.

Coming to a complete stop a couple steps short of the side passages, Mario gives a "Shh" sign over his shoulder, then returns his arrow to its quiver, drops prone, and holds his bow vertically with the light stone at the top as he slides forward far enough to look both ways, quickly, and slides back.

Nodwin puts his hand up and waves over his shoulder to try and hold up the people behind him, but says nothing.  He instead listens intently to see if he can hear anything.

Jareth pauses to take notes on the intersection, how far down he can see, the directions, rough shape and size of the cross tunnel, and identifying markings, etc, before he resumes being third in line to assist looking out for hazards.

Holding the pome with the lantern means you cannot actively use the shield, but the torch burns cleanly... for now.
